I want to include bridesmaid's daughter in wedding

I have six bridesmaids and a flower girl already, but really would like to include my best friend's daughter in the wedding somehow. Pretty much, I just want to give her the chance to get dressed up with the bridesmaids and participate. Any ideas how I can do this tactfully?

Thanks a million!

She could be an usher. Or you could have her as a reader. Can she sing, or play an instrument? You could have her perform a special song.

How old?  She also could be a bridesmaid (a "junior" BM does everything a regular BM does anyway.)  Or what cutie says.  Also, are you sure she wants it, or just you and her mom want it?  Some kids would be just as happy with the primping, but would rather skip everything else.

Im having my step niece and step nephew stand at the entrance to the church and ask people to sign the guest book and hand out thank you notes. Maybe she would be willing to do that. If you can afford it give her a gift along with your bm.

I agree to ask her and her mom.  She can get a pretty dress and get ready with you guys without having a 'role' but being a flowergirl (you can have more than one) or BM or reader or usherette would be fine.  Depending on her age of course; You probably wouldn't want to put an 8 yo on the spot as a reader.

One of my bridesmaids has an 11-year-old daughter, and I wanted to include her, so I invited her to come get ready with us in the suite, including getting her hair and makeup professionally done (I paid for everyone's hair and makeup.) I phrased it as ... "there will be a bunch of us getting ready together, including the bridesmaids, my mom, H's mom, etc, and I wondered if you wanted to be one of the girls getting ready together!"

I was a bridesmaid at that age myself, and the part I liked best/remember most was getting my hair done and getting to wear makeup, plus getting to be around all the older girls.

I love these ideas so far! You guys are smart. :) I love just having her be part of the action, but not actually standing up. So, would she just hang out with everyone and then when the ceremony begins, sit down?

Also, would it be really weird having the ring bearer pull my nephew down the isle in a wagon? He will be a year old at the time.
