Wedding Woes

It's one review, dude.

Dear Prudence,

A bunch of my friends are getting married next year. One of them was talking to me about DJs. She brought up the name of someone who was the DJ at a wedding I went to last year.
His abilities with a microphone were questionable, but his DJ skills were fine … until he had a huge blow up due to not being able to handle some slightly rowdy guests. His reaction was so bad it caused the bride to cry. I told my friend all of this and she was shocked. There are a couple of major websites he’s on where his rating is surprisingly high. I realize he may have had a bad day, but he doesn’t have many reviews over the past year, and the one other review very subtly alluded to some other issue they had with him. I am considering leaving a review for the wedding I went to.

While I feel a bit iffy about causing this guy to lose his business, I bet it’s only a part time job and I don’t want someone’s one special day to be ruined. What do you think?

  • I think you need to reflect more on your life, OP.  Because you wrote a letter to Prudie on if you should write a review or not.

  • You told your friend, she’s presumably not going to hire him, I’d leave it at that. If the couple who actually hired him for that wedding wants to leave a review they will.
