Last work day of the year for me too! 

I hope everyone's holidays are going well.   We're crazy busy over here, but today seems like it will be low-key despite having all the people still around.

    @charlotte989875, thanks for the explanation.  I'm so sorry it happened to you!  But it's really interesting.  I know I would never connect the dots that extreme itchiness could be related to bile not being processed correctly.  The human body can be such a mystery, especially in how things can be so inter-connected that seem unrelated.

    The first night after I took tirzepatide (active ingredient in Mounjaro), my H told me I didn't snore at all and haven't since.  He said for the first few weeks he kept checking I was still alive and okay, because I was sleeping so quietly.  I've read similar stories from other people who take this medication.  But why would a medication that helps insulin resistance stop snoring?  And do it so suddenly!  My periods have also been shorter and lighter since I started taking it.  This is extremely common for other women on it also.  I would love to know why for both of those things!  It all sounds so unrelated, but there is something about this medication that's causing it.

    Mellow day at work.  I have a few things I could be doing.  And should, because I suspect next week will be busy with a bunch of people coming back from vacation.  But I don't wanna, so I'm not, lol.

    I am working tomorrow, but at least it's my usual half-day Friday.

    @charlotte989875 Congratulations!  That is so weird - I would never have thought being itchy would have anything to do with that.  I'm itchy all the time, so I wouldn't have clued in at all.  So scary.  Happy that after all that baby is here!

    Holidays were good - sort of did an internet stoppage just because i was nowhere near a computer.  Still catching up on messages from people - we got back home at around 9:30 last night and I was working at 6am today.  I am hoping to do some shopping today, as we are low on a bunch of stuff.  But we'll see if I even have time, because there is another holiday dinner tonight!

    I hope everyone is enjoying some good time off work this week!

    @CharmedPam,  Oh!  I love hearing that happened for your brother and his family.  I can't imagine how hard this holiday was for him.  It warms my heart that so many people chipped in their time and money to make things at least a little more joyful for him and his kids.  And the dog, lol!

    Intra-hepatic Cholestasis of pregnancy. She said if it had been PUPPs she would have let me go another week or so and monitor but with cholestasis monitoring doesn’t really do much because it can turn really quickly.

    So glad you listened to your body @charlotte989875 and that all turned out okay, I’d never heard of that before 

    Slowly coming back to life here following our stomach bug.  Nothing planned so just resting.

    I’m glad you’re okay @charlotte989875 and congrats on new baby! How odd I was just talking about that complication with SIL on Christmas. I’ve had to send a patient or two to the ER for further evaluation before for the same thing and my cousin’s wife had her gallbladder attack her with stones (another unknown but semi common complication) during her second trimester this past year. There’s just so much going on in pregnancy that I’m never upset when people call into the triage line for off and sometimes “simple” symptoms. 

    Christmas went pretty well overall. As is my MO, I made way too much food. We had my parents, H’s parents, and SIL A and her H over. I think the parents had a really nice time. I tried out an interactive game which went well so I think I’ll try to incorporate more games into gatherings in the future just to break up the socializing. 

    Yesterday I ran a million errands. Including getting my nails done which was very frustrating. I called in and asked for my girl “oh yes, come at 12:30.” I get there and she called off for the day before I even called! I was desperate so I had someone else do them but didn’t get what I wanted and it took almost three hours. And they had a remix of ABBA’s Happy New Year on repeat  for all three HOURS. I was losing it. lol. H and I were supposed to go out to downtown at the end of the night but I had nothing left to give after that. We might try to go out tonight though. Still have no idea about New Year’s Eve plans but oh well.

    Oh my! 3 hours? I can’t even imagine would would take that long, even with gels or acrylics.  Grrrr to it all!
