  It's a busy week here with something extra everyday.  Work has been crazy so far this week and I'd swear it was a full moon but it's not.  Monday night I had a hair appointment and last night was mani/pedi.  
  
  This morning I'm working from the lobby of the Physical Therapy office while DH works with a trainer.  Tonight I have a required after-hours training for work (gotta love those).  Tomorrow I teach onsite so it'll be an early morning  commute.
  
  I dropped off our tax stuff to the preparer on Monday night so hope they have everything they need.  My employer goofed up a large number of W2s this year, but fortunately, mine wasn't included.  
  
  Thinking that we need to make an appointment with an elder law attorney to make sure we have our affairs in order while DH is still able to make some decisions.

  We had a team meeting yesterday about our annual strategy plan kickoff and our VP (she manages all the teams and the planning process) held me back after and basically asked me if I would be her #2. Meaning i'd attend almost all the same meetings, participate in all the teams, and do a lot of the actual work that she has been spending too much time doing. I'm pretty flattered and appreciative that she thinks i'm the right person to take some stuff off her plate (i'm 2 steps down from her). One of the things i've been missing in my newer role is visibility to our executive team (my prior position, our C suite members were my closest colleagues even though i'm several levels down in the org structure). Anyway, definitely a pivot that i'm really excited about for the next 6 months and if i perform well, maybe there's space for a promotion or new role of some kind!

  I thought today was Tuesday, so yay for the surprise of Wednesday.
  
  I upset a good friend yesterday, which made me upset.  I was being a good friend and acting from a place of concern.  Our conversation did lead her to go get some more help for what she's going through, but it still upset me.  She seems okay with me today and that's a sigh of relief.  Ended up have a long, productive, and lovely conversation with another friend to just kind of help me through it. 
  
  I've got to get some of my party planning stuff chosen and ordered so it's here in time.  I can't decide what I want to do for decor.  I'm not going hard core, but I have a perfect spot for a photo booth and I'd like to do something cool for the tables/stations.  I'm playing off of Prohibition and speakeasy themes, since it's a mocktail party.

  Work today and I don’t wanna be here. I wore some new pink suit pants I bought to wear during February and October and they’re a little bright. Otherwise SSDD. Three more days of work feels daunting

  @Casadena, that is great news!  Hopefully the new responsibilities=a raise.  But either way, it's a good opportunity to set yourself up for future promotions.  Perhaps take over her role whenever she leaves the company.
  
  I've been debating on if I want to go to the Mardi Gras parade tomorrow night, but now I'm leaning heavy toward yes.  It's the Muses krewe and my favorite one.  I'm kinda over the hassle of the parades and they're so crowded.  But this is going to be our last Mardi Gras, so I'm also tempted to give it one last hurrah.  My H won't like it, but I don't want to go by myself and he'll agree because he understands.  But I need to prep him for it today so he can get used to the idea, lol.
  
  Muses is an all-female krewe.  They have a high heel focus, including a signature float that is a high heel, and their "prized" throws are hand decorated heels.  They also have more of a focus on sustainable/useful throws, instead of beads.  This year they have touch-screen gloves with their logo on them.  I hope those are plentiful, because I would love a pair for myself and for my friend who is working out of town.
  
  Some useful Muses throws I've gotten from years past are logoed socks and a small, magnetic dry erase board.  That board has been on my fridge for years and we use it for our grocery list.  I collect rubber ducks and snagged a blue glitter one with their name on it a few years ago.  Thankfully, the plastic just looks like blue glitter and isn't actual glitter, lol.
  
  The weather is going to be good, so I think that's sealed the deal for me.  No rain and around 63 degrees.  The other good news is the main parade route goes right past my office building. The bad news.  We're toward the middlish end, so I'll be hanging out for hours after I get off work waiting for it.

  I'm wfh tomorrow because I have a dr appt late in the day.
  
  Idk if I mentioned it, but I cracked another tooth, so dentist thinks something else is going on and wants me to get bone denisty test. Well being 36, they won't do it. So I'm expecting my dr appt to be at least sending me for blood work.
  My mum has calcium deficiency so we'll see.
  
  Anyways ....
  I'm taking advantage of wfh and going through a bin of bedding to see what's keep and what's not. And sorting BK items to see what we're keeping or not.
  Trying to declutter closet .... not easy.

  SSDD.  Feeling better.  Enough to go into work.  I renewed my season tickets to a local theatre.  Our meetup girls had season tickets but from what I was hearing 1/2 weren’t renewing. The lady I sat next to made no shows last season (but 1) so I got a new season package for Thursday nights, with way better seats - hey, I’m sitting alone anyway.  Our old package was for Saturday at 3:00.  Sometimes we’d do dinner after, but sometimes not, it took up a whole Saturday regardless.  I’m happy for Thursday nights after work now.

  My MIL came to hang with J so I took a nap and a shower! It’s warmish and sunny so we’re about to go for a walk. 

  
  

  I just saw a posting for a job that would be a great fit for me, but it’s been posted for a week so I need to apply like today. It’s a step up, a major international company, and would be a huge pay raise. The only downside is it’s 100% remote. It’s a reach for me, but could be a massive opportunity. Ugh.

  Exciting!  Unless you know for sure you won't work a 100% remote job, I say apply.  If you get an interview, that can help form if it is the right fit or not.
