If you didn't see, Kate announced in a video today that she was diagnosed with (undisclosed, and not our business) cancer. 

I admit I enjoyed the memes.  Mostly the ones trolling the crown in general, the king, and a little bit William. 

Good lord the crown's comms are being run by a clown show.  

I watched her video message and it did nothing but break my heart.  She looks so fragile and if you watch her hands, she's trying so hard to hold it together.  I saw a very terrified mom, worried about her and her kid's futures. I hope she gets well and trolls the fuck out of the crown and their comms if she stays with Will.  She probably won't, but maybe Di's spirit can move her a little. 

As a side note, I hate that Meghan Markle launched her new lifestyle brand in the midst of all this, just because people are awful and going to be absolutely horrific to her some more.  I can see the fresh hate and trolling already being formed.  Ugh.

    I read the article that came across, so didn't realize there was a video.  She looked exhausted in the photo accompanying it.

    I hate that she had to do this; also in this day and age what social media manager does the GD royal family have that they didn't know the cute little "she'll be gone to April" announcment wasn't going to work?  Not only that, but obviously April wasn't going to be a date anyway.

    What is interesting to me is that so much of us in the US were saying "This is absolute BS, they're mismanaging the PR and obviously there's more going on than they're saying.  And what they ARE messaging is obviously false and bungled."

    And now they put someone who's scared, exhausted and possibly feeling physically ill on camera all because there was no concept to say it earlier?  

    But the British were all "Oh she's out til April."  So the Palace still has a hold on die hard fans who will not pay attention to anything happening behind the curtain as the Great Oz has spoken.

    I live under a damn rock. I mean I scan the NYTimes each morning but didn’t notice anything on Kate these past couple months (or possibly missed it…it’s really a quick skim, more than a scan, lol).  So I cant weigh in on anything but wishing her a complete recovery as well as peace, respect and privacy for her and her children.
