Knee remains sore with my hip and opposite ankle added in. I’m not sure what caused the knee but these two definitely feel like a result of favoring around the sore knee. Will have it checked if it continues. Motrin is helping, resting isn’t an option.

Although speaking of rest I’m toying with calling out sick tomorrow. I have a big work event coming up that I’d like a new dress for, and will have maybe .04 seconds of free time this weekend to shop 😝

  • Well I don’t know if one of my fellow physicians knows something I don’t, but he walked in with an umbrella this morning and it is cloudless and beautiful out lol. It’s a high of 76 which is making me sad because that means summer is around the corner and I’m not ready for it to be 110 degrees.

Otherwise SSDD. Hopefully finishing my CEUs today so I can renew my license. I really cut it close this time.

I hope your joints feel better soon @ei34

Olay is the worst about getting rid of things.  They had a wonderful anti-aging for oily skin product that just poof! disappeared.  I've found something that works, but it's not as nice.

One more weekly shot to go and then I'm starting to space.  Thank goodness.  I'm seriously considering trying to take a 4 day weekend soon.  I need a break from work.  Bossman is doing his passive aggressive "I'm refusing to talk to you b/c I'm mad at you for whatever reason" without realizing I'm 100000% fine with that, b/c it means I can work without constant interruption.  I thought a lot about this job over the weekend.  At the end of the day, I really love this job and the work I do and I don't want to leave that.  Bossman is just who he is and I can deal with him, even if it makes me eyeroll a lot.  He's really no different than any other misogynist man I've worked for, but he's not a bully and that makes all the difference for me.

Otherwise, SSDD.  I'm working hard on developing better sleep habits right now, for my overall health.  The night sweats are not helping with that at all, as I keep waking up, drinking water, going to the restroom, and then falling back asleep.  It was 3 times last night.  I've tried the whole "holding water" thing, but it just makes me super dyhdrated and headache-y when I get up in the am, so it's somewhat counter-intuitive.
  • My second tube was there! I was in ALL my glory.  I’m going to have to use it sparingly now.  And maybe I’ll put it in my dating profile. “Please list three reasons why I should come out and meet you with my wrinkle and pore vanisher on.  Make it worth it”.
This reminds me of the sponge episode from Seinfeld.  Elaine said she was going to have to start factoring in if a guy was "sponge worthy" to go out with.

My tire did have to be replaced but with my pro-rated discount because of the road hazard insurance on the old tire, it only came out to $83.

But they did really annoy me with how long I waited.  My H brought them the car at 9:30am and they said it would be ready later that afternoon.  But when I got there at 5:15pm, the only thing they had done was evaluate the tire.  They hadn't even started on the work!  I didn't leave until 6:30.

I still haven't caught up with my sleep and it's making me extra unmotivated this morning.  I'm counting down the minutes until I can take a nap at lunch, lol.

I suddenly remembered yesterday that HUD's website usually has phenomenal deals on foreclosed houses, but you usually have to be an owner-occupant to buy them.  Very disappointing when I checked it out.  I was probably last on there about 5 years ago and there were dozens of listings in my local area.  Now there are only 25 in the whole state.  Within the city of Cincy there was only one listing.

But HUD's website had a link to Fannie Mae's REO Homepath website.  You also have to be an owner occupant for most of those homes.  There were quite a few listings for Cincy.  I'm not familiar enough with specific neighborhoods and their pricing to say if they were good deals.  But it's always a good idea to expand out of the MLS for potential properties.  I'm glad I remembered some of these sites specifically geared to homeowners.

  • It’s rainy and cold and the Bills traded stefon diggs so it’s a day here in Buffalo. I also started doing laundry while the baby sleep snuggles with MIL and now I have zero motivation to finish. At least I made dinner in the crockpot.
  • Rainy and cold here. I ordered GS3's birthday cake today. Hard to believe the baby will be 3 years old in a little over a week. We also made a Costco run. We are now all set for the eclipse. Indy is in the path of totality and upwards of 500,000 people have been projected to come to the area for viewing. We can just stay at our house and view it, but a friend who lives close by is having a viewing party. Hopefully it will be sunny.

Sorry about your knee @ei34. Can you ice it? That might help. Good luck.

We are some of those 500,000! Gave my parents a pack of 25 eclipse glasses for Christmas (among other things, lol).
  • We are not in the path of totality but should get about 80%.  I'm teaching online that afternoon but hope to get a break about the time we have maximum coverage.  Have eclipse glasses purchased hoping DH and I can watch some of it. Seems like last time I saw one I was in school and we used a pinhole camera to watch the shadow on paper.

  • We are also in the path of totality! H’s cousin is bringing their kids up so we’re making a weekend of it!

I've heard Niagra Falls has been booked solid for months at exorbitant rates and a lot of people made reservations over a year ago.

I'm assume that's true for Buffalo also.

Yes! My BFF has a few airbnbs and she’s been booked since last year!
