  G's port removal and chemo week went GREAT! He's back at school today finally and he and his bestie were jumping and hugging this morning, it was precious. 3 more weeks of oral meds and he is DONEZO. 
  
  I'm sure my team hates me, but i am off again Friday and half day tomorrow to go back to Iowa to sit in on my first meeting as a board member for an investment fund run by students at my alma mater (I was a student analyst during my MBA). Luckily it's near my hometown, so i'm visiting my parents as well for a few days because my 97 year old gma fell and broke her hip and wrist and is recovering from surgery. She's moving to a rehab center for at least a few weeks starting ~Friday and my mom is a mess. Gma has sever dementia and it's heartbreaking - she's so confused and angry. I was planning to bring the boys for the weekend, but since my parents won't be able to babysit while i'm in meetings, they're staying home with H. 
  
  I also have 4 interviews today for that internal job promotion I applied for last month. I haven't "real" interviewed in ~7 years and i'm nervous even though i know all my interviewers. If i suck I still have to work with them, so it's a different kind of nervous than normal. 
  
  I'll try to catch up on what's been going on the last week but hope everyone has had good days!

  J is still sick, was coughing all night so I’m running on very little sleep. He goes back to the doctor this afternoon for a regular 4 month visit but I’m sure we’ll do the entire pulse-ox monitoring again. We could really use a break!

  We're entering the weeks of insanity.  Next month I have to travel for work but at least it's before we're in the throws of last minute projects, etc.   
  
  We're in the start of baseball games, soccer practices next week and Chiquita and I are camping.  I'm hopeful that the weather holds!

  @charlotte989875, I'm sorry to hear J is still sick.  I hope he gets better soon and you all can get the break you need.
  
  I hung out with my neighbor friend yesterday.  It's always a mellow, but fun evening at her house.  She's the one who is out of town a lot because she works in tv/film, but currently has a break between assignments.  She was unexpectedly presented with an awesome opportunity last week.  She's an accomplished sailor and one of her sailing friends was hired to help move a fancy catamaran from LA to Costa Rica.  The owner and his friend will be on the boat also, but they needed a fourth person and she got the job!  She is really nervous, but super excited for the opportunity.  I'm jealous!

  Had my second chiropractor appointment of the week and think it is really helping my sciatic nerve issue. Fingers crossed it will be resolved before we leave for Portugal next month. Why oh why didn't I go before now??

  My roommate from when I lived in Key West does this! He has a captain's license and does fishing charters day-to-day, but he'll also contract with obscenely rich people to transport their yachts back and forth from the Hamptons (or whatever northern fancy place) to the Caribbean for the summer/winter seasons.

  No, totally unrelated to her normal job in filming.  Other than she owns a sailboat in CA and that is what she lives on when she has jobs in LA.  She loves boating and it's a major hobby she has.
