But not for me! Today is my Friday. I have a fun girls weekend in Michigan that starts tomorrow and I’m looking forward to that! I’m hoping to see Front Room but it really depends what I can get finished up, work wise, today.  I also need to get an oil change first thing tomorrow before hitting the road.  Nothing like last minute with me.
My friend and I saw Bettlejuice Beetlejuice yesterday and both of us were pleasantly surprised at how well we liked it. She didn’t think she would.  I thought it was a great continuation of the first one.  Also, lady boner over here for Monica Bellucci.  I’d join her death cult.  ‘jus saying.  Unpopular opinion but I don’t see the hype over Jenna Ortega.  Although I need to find out where to get the dress she wore to the funeral service. Wynona looks great but I was distracted a lot by her over exaggerations (as some reviewers said - that’s not Lydia. That’s Joyce). And Catherine O’Hara? She’ll always be Moira now!

    I feel SO much better today.  I've had 2 nights of solid sleep, so I'm hoping I'm actually negative.  I have tickets to see 300 tomorrow night and I really want to go.  Alamo Drafthouse has a great October movie lineup, even without the new movies coming out that I really want to see.

    Is anyone watching the reality game show Anonymous on Peacock?  I usually do not like this genre of shows at all, but I'm enjoying this one.  Not really sure why, maybe b/c it's really strategy/alliance heavy but also sooooooo many lies?

    Otherwise, SSDD.

    Good morning.  I actually slept pretty well last night for once.  I'm still trying to get up and do stuff.  This morning I started a book that's been on my nightstand for almost a year. I'm also working on some project ideas for myself or around the house.  I need to go through my crochet and look for projects I haven't finished and decide if I'm going to finish them or ditch them.  

    DH has started a passion project in the last month or so and he's so excited about how well it's going.  I'm happy for him because I know he's been looking for *something* and this has been so nice for him to have this outlet. 

    Nothing much else to report otherwise.  :)

    We are living surrounded by a literal ring of fire. We can see three from our house, including flames from one of them. It's so sad. One of the fires is still decently far from my Grandparents, but that could change suddenly and I am worried about them a little. I also feel so bad for everyone who had their insurance drop them and now their homes are gone. Ugh. 

    Work today, otherwise. The wind is blowing some of the smoke in the opposite direction, our air quality is somehow "good" right now. Yesterday I could barely see my car across the parking lot at some points. I really have to request some time off work with remaining PTO I have and I need to buckle down and figure out dates.

    Good Morning.  Woke up with cold symptoms - ick.  When I redid my office, I put something away for safe keeping.  Now I can't find it.  I hate it when that happens.  I did take a box for donation and hope it wasn't in there.  Yikes.

    A colleague and myself submitted a proposal for a presentation at a national conference and it was accepted.  We'll present next April in New Orleans. @short+sassy, maybe we could do a brief meetup?  The dates of the conference are the first weekend of Jazz Fest so likely will be crazy.  We will be very near the Dome.

    I think a friend is coming over on Saturday so we can craft.  Really looking forward to doing some glass etching with stencils made on the Cricut and other projects.

    @short+sassy - hoping the storm isn't too bad for you.
    @mrsconn23 - Sorry for the FIL drama on top of all the other things.
    @VarunaTT - Fingers crossed for a negative test
    @CharmedPam - Have fun on your girl's weekend
    @Casadena - good luck on working through your therapy sessions.  Marriage is hard work!
    @levioosa - wishing you safety from the fires and better air quality.

    I hope everything smooths out soon @Casadena.  I think sometimes someone needs to hear things from the 3rd party to make any changes.  Coming from you, the spouse, it just doesn’t “register” like a professional.

    Remember that microneedle I got on Saturday that was painful? Well, the pain was worth it because I like how smooth and clear my skin is.  It’s still a tad dry, which is expected but the microneedle was worth the pain and $.

    Hopefully I will have finally moved out of New Orleans by April.  But there is no telling because I'd thought I'd be moved out this Spring, lol.

    But if I am still here in April, I'd love to meet up with you while you are in town!  I live and work relatively close to the Dome.  I even pass it every day on my way to work.  Congrats on your all's presentation being accepted.

    It is unfortunate you all will be here during Jazz Fest because it is extra busy.  But if you all here more during the weekdays before it starts, that shouldn't be too bad.  It starts on Thursday, but that's still a lighter day and a lot of people traveling from out of town haven't arrived yet.
