    The Friday night friend time and Saturday's extended family party were both really nice.  Tried to get a lot done yesterday but my to-do list isn't where it should be.

    My silly FWP is that I wasn't selected as a class parent this year.  My first time in 8 years not doing it.  I know most people hate PTA stuff but I enjoy it.  And it would've been my last year because the twins are in 4th grade, next year is middle school where they don't need class parents.  Oh well.  (Again, super FWP!)

    Weekend was good. We went to the twins soccer match. We made fresh pasta with the kids. They loved making and eating it. We will be back up there next week and they want to make some for Mommy and Daddy to have (parents were out to dinner). 

    I'm changing over summer decor to fall stuff today. I don't have a ton of fall stuff but every year I'm surprised at how much I do have.

    I snapped at someone today in my spin class that was laughing about a meme about the cat/dog eating in Springfield, OH. That idiot rumor has caused major problems in Springfield. Both of my sons went to college in that town. DS2 lives with in 30 minutes of there now. The college had to call off activities yesterday because of bomb threats. Friday elementary schools had to close because of threats. Perpetuating rumors through jokes and memes is not funny. I know this person doesn't believe the pet eating happened but even sharing the memes is perpetuating the rumor and giving credence to Trump and Vance. Sorry not sorry for the snapping!

    Also, continuing to share the memes can perpetuate stochastic terrorism.  It's one thing to listen and immediately snort at the ridiculous nature.  It's another to know that by doing this you're contributing to a major concern as you say @ILoveBeachMusic that furthers the issue of putting a group into a category as somehow less than.

    @ILoveBeachMusic, I don't understand how even the most whack-a-doodle Trumpster can tie "immigrants eating pet cats and dogs"...ironically coming from a guy always complaining about fakes news...with "must now threaten to bomb elementary schools/colleges".

    We were supposed to go grocery shopping over the weekend but didn't.  Now we don't have eggs or bread.  Meh!  

    Watched a lot of football yesterday.  The Saints annihilated the Cowboys (44-19), which was exciting considering the Saints were ranked #24 and the Cowboys were ranked #8.  Perhaps there is hope for us yet, lol.

    Kamala Harris had a number of commercials on during the games.  I was really surprised!  Louisiana is a very red state and Presidential candidates for both parties don't usually waste their advertising dollars here.

    Oof, @levioosa big hugs and healthy vibes for you and your family.  That's rough.

    I'm angry about the pet eating thing.  Someone is going to be hurt or killed over this.  It's not (and never really should've been) a laughing matter.  Some of my friends who I would've thought would know better argued with me about that, saying it was just so preposterous they had to laugh or be angry. So, I agree with you @ILoveBeachMusic.  And then to see Vance's interview where he basically admitted the story was made it up.  My blood was boiling.  Another person has pointed out that the game plan is not Trump, it's Vance.  Get Trump elected, use the 25th Amendment to bounce him, get Vance in office and then off to Project 2025 with presidential immunity.  I can't stop thinking about that.

    I will admit to watching the fight between Loomer and Taylor Greene and just laughing, but honestly, I probably shouldn't be.  Loomer outing Graham wasn't on my bingo card either.

    I had a slow weekend.  Took my mom to get her flu shot and then we walked around MIchaels for a bit.  I was looking for specific yarn that I couldn't find.  Slept a lot.  I'm tired today too, but I'm going to see Clue on the big screen tonight and I'm really excited about that.  IDK if we will get to see all 3 endings though.  It's a special movie party, so I'm hoping they do show all 3 AND that I don't fall asleep.
