    Finally getting into nice crisp fall air over here, the house felt cool this morning, and thankful for that.  *Nothing* happening after work today and even more thankful there.

    Netflix qualm (not meaning to beat a dead horse, I know we have our Netflix is annoying vents here and there) - their new plans went into effect a couple days ago. The ads aren't a bother, and it seems they're only on my account, not the kids', which was my concern (not that the kids would have to deal with ads, if 90s kids could do commercial breaks they can do 15-30 seconds of ads lol, it was more what was going to be marketed to them).  So the ads are fine.  My qualm is that it appears some content isn't available on our tier, which wasn't advertised.  Last night the kids selected something and got the message "this content is only available to ad-free subscribers".  Like...what?!  That irked me and I guess I hadn't realized they'd be tiering certain shows.  Maybe too many subscribers just shrugged and went with the ad plan, instead of paying more to go without? /vent over

    @ei34 I had already cancelled, but I'm seeing the same complaint come through over social media.  

    Watched the debate last night.  This was my first social event in a while.  I knew alcohol would be there, but I knew everyone was respectful of my sobriety and the activity wasn't drinking alcohol, so I felt safe.  I had a good time, but it was wild to watch the alcohol flow and the behavior changes it caused.  I wasn't embarrassed or ashamed about my past; it was just eye opening for a few things.  

    I wish Vance had done a worse job in the debate.  I think Walz "won", but if you don't follow politics enough, a lot of what Vance said sounded reasonable and oh, so nice, and smart and polished.  Vance was sent up there to get Haley's voters to feel more comfortable voting for this ticket.

    Nothing more on the agenda for this week.  Just work and regular life stuff.

    The thing I'm hearing about the debate is that Vance does what Trump wants him to do which is make you think that they're on your side and talk a good game. Vance has been doing this for years and his Ivy League debate school training were how he excelled.

    Ugh, I was hoping Vance did worse but it seems like he kept it together for the most part. I have a sinking feeling this helped the T campaign more than it hurt. 

    Not too much going on here. I am sleepy today. I went to bed at ten so it's not like we were up super late. But I had some weird dreams. I keep telling myself I'm going to wake up thirty minutes earlier so I can relax more in the mornings, but that's a lie.

    I just wish they'd tell the damn truth.  I usually don't mind choosing the later shipping dates for the digital credit.  But half of my order came on time and the other half didn't.  Just meet the damn dates you say you're going to!

    Now they’re just saying a standard 4 day.  What am I paying for? Walmart is getting their stuff out in 2 days (I think anyway). PLUS they fit in another prime days on the 8th/9th.

    Still seeing 2 days.

    That said, I'm curious if any of those are affected by the port strike or flooding that closed roads?

    Even my "next day/same day" are coming in 2-3 days, and regular prime is coming 3-5 days later on average. It's not like I live in a rural area either.

    Amazon days could be a result of the port strikes (dock workers) happening right now on the east coast/gulf coast.

    My mom is still with N today, MIL is hanging with him tomorrow and H is going to be with him Friday. He's starting to feel a ton better but the highest risk for bleeding is right now so he won't go back to school til Monday. I think he's enjoying running the house for awhile!

    Work is still good/overwhelming. Starting to get settled with some small tasks. 2 week til we go to Disney!

    I don’t have prime but always select the free option when there is one (there usually is), even if it means an extra couple days.  I find the delivery dates to be accurate (but to be fair, it’s never same day or next day, more like they say it’ll arrive in 5-6 days and it does). My favorite / the best delivery imo will always be Target. 

    Although speaking of the holidays - Target and Amazon if you could deliver in plain brown boxes that’d be awesome. I have three on-the-cusp-of-not-believing-in-Santa kids, if their gifts could not arrive in actual boxes and no shield, that’d be great 😝
