    Do I spot @climbingsingle? How is everything?

    My mom sent me pics of my nephews fishing and I miss them already. Why do we have to live so far away? 
    Edit: happy prime days! Remember when I said things were taking 4 days? Well, they suddenly switched my address to the vacation house I was at last month.  I didn’t even send anything TO the house, was just determining how long it would take to get some moisturizer. I never double checked the address when ordering because why would I? I had 4 or 5 deliveries between that time and now sent to my house too.  So now I have to fight with them.  But when I switched it back to my address, it was 3 day delivery.

    Posted the chat but then got sidetracked at work so I couldn't comment just yet lol

    Congrats on getting closer to your goal @short+sassy and yay for the prime deals.  I don't have prime so I'll admit I haven't looked, which is probably for the best considering I shouldn't be spending money.

    ExH is being the biggest PITA right now.  He surfaces every few weeks/months and then disappears, so I know it's only a matter of time before he crawls back under his rock, trying to wait it out.

    I still don't' have access to the 2 systems that my new job primarily works in. So I've been doing a lot of shadowing and busy work. Looking forward to contributing more. Looking through prime deals and seeing a couple things that i may buy but nothing overly exciting.

    I'm WFH today but they finally fixed the AC (surprise, after a bunch of use said nope, we're working from home), so I have to go back tomorrow and I'm sad about it. I was pretty miffed when my manager replied back to my email that we could use our personal PTO for the heat. Um, no, you apply any of my PTO for an OSHA violation that is on you guys and I will be emailing HR and OSHA so fast. 

    WFH is the absolute best. I don't even have a bra on yet for the day. lol. I've got to find a job where I can do this more full time.  

    Otherwise things are kind of stressful over here. We went to see the grandparents on Sunday. Grandpa looked really tired. I asked him to get checked out in the morning. He ended up going to the ER and he had blood clots in both lungs and they admitted him for a few days. This year is absolutely relentless. I don't know what this means for him. He will have to be on a blood thinner because of the clots...but he already is constantly hemorrhaging from the bladder cancer which is what caused severe anemia and the heart attack a few months ago. None of it is good. It really is looking like this will probably be out last holiday season with both of them. 

    @short+sassy I got really excited when I saw the egg bites at Costco because I love the Starbucks ones and I HATED them. They were so gross. I have made my own and they're good, but still lacking that super special something that the Starbucks ones have. 

    @charmedpam PCA has some good sales for their products. I also got an Elta MD tinted sunscreen to try because I'm always hearing good reviews about it. 

    @ei34 I'm sorry about Ex-H's shenanigans. I hope he goes back under his rock soon and leaves you alone.

    Boo to the ex-H @ei34

    I like the bacon and cheese egg bites from Costco @short+sassy.  I do use the air fryer to warm them up so they get a little crispy.  I don't like egg whites, so I haven't tried those ones.  

    HI @climbingsingle!!  I've been thinking about you lately.  I hope things are going all right. 

    Not much to report here.  Things seem to be calming down from all the stuff that has been going on lately. 

    BIL and SIL did put their dog down on Friday.  It was time, but SIL was his person, so she's definitely having a hard time with it.  We saw them Saturday because SIL was able to finally have a memorial for her stepdad (he died in summer 2022, but she wasn't able to have it until now for a myriad of reasons). His cousins were there and some lifelong friends.  It all turned out quite nice. 

    We were up in our old area for the memorial and drove by the hospital where DefConn was born. DH pointed it out to him and he was all, "they should know a legend was born there."  The kiddo rode with us, so he was there to provide a brotherly, "Well, it wasn't you..."  LOL

    Getting ready to do grocery shopping.  Hoping that food starts sounding good soon.  Nothing too much going on really.  I watched The Whale last night, and what an astounding film.  I was crying about it for probably 30 minutes afterwards.  Frasier deserved his awards.

    otherwise, SSDD.  There's an event that I want to go to this weekend, but after having covid this last time and how sick I was, I'm hesitant to go to big gatherings.  IDK, I'll decide this weekend,

    is PCA that good cream you like? What was it again? I went and bought antiage a few weeks ago and it’s ok. It’s very expensive but supposedly made with some good stem cell forumula.  I still have a stockpile of serums/creams to get through and yes I AM still buying new stuff! Lol
    edit; prime has a knock off gopure neck cream that I’ve been eyeing for my turkey neck.  The reviews are good for the knockoff so I hope it helps.  Speaking of necks, @Casadena, I went to get another laser hair removal treatment and I get my face & neck done.  Guess what? The laser left three dark circle marks on my neck.  First time ever! Lasted 5 days too.  I put in a claim with them.  Now I’m nervous for future treatments.

    @charmedpam I used the Ideal Eye Gel Complex from PCA and liked it. But it's expensive, on sale it's $80. Boo. I'm trying really hard to use up all of my existing serums and creams before I'll buy new ones, but I did like that one so will repurchase while it's on sale. I'm on the hunt for a good Vitamin C cream. None of them have really wowed me so far. I keep putting off buying SkinCeuticals because $200 for a serum seems insane although I know it's the gold standard for Vitamin C creams. I'm trying Naturium's Vitamin C Plus next.

    @CharmedPam, I've had people both on plastic surgery and skincare subreddits recommend Elastilift hyaluronic acid for wrinkles/turkey neck issues.  The "blue" one.  I was waiting for Prime Day.  Alas, it is not on sale.  But it's fairly cheap at $15 for 15 oz. or a two-pack for $25.  I got the two-pack:

    Thanks for that @short+sassy! You know what’s funny? I take extra care of my face as far as morning/night regimens but I’m very forgetful of the neck. If I remember to do it, I’m using whatever is on my face lol. But the videos for this look really good (I know. I know. Marketing).

    @CharmedPam I've only been doing my underarms and haven't experience that, but i'd be nervous too!! Especially on such a visible area.
