Have you been to a wedding at Museum of Contemporary Art - La Jolla?

Hi Brides!

I am looking at Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla to have both my wedding and the reception. We would have the ceremony on the terrace and then have the reception inside in the larger space.

Have any of you been to a wedding there or had yours there? Any thoughts? I just don't want it to see too "cold" since it is a museum, but I am hoping the decor could really clean things up?

Thanks in advance!

Kim

    Hi Kim,

    I just signed my contract for my may wedding there.  I have not done a ton of planning on how to decorate, but I do not think that it will be too cold.  They let me come by while they were setting up a wedding to see what it looks like set up.  That really helped me finalize my choice to have my wedding there.

    Thanks for your response! Good to here...I'm getting really excited now that we have started planning. I think it will help if we go by and look at a wedding there, too. Good suggstion!

    When are you getting married? Our date is August 13th...will be here before we know it!

    Can I ask what the Museum is charging?  I just started planning this week and knowing would be helpful!

    Thanks!

    @TanaDionne They have a brochere on their web site with all of the prices.  There are various areas that you can rent out, so it really depends on exactly what you want.

    @kim,

    Style Me Pretty posted a wedding from the museum on their blog a few days ago, it looked beautiful; simple, clean, and elegant.  It made me really excited to start planning my flowers and things.

    I have not done much yet, but I can keep you updated as I get more into planning the decor.  My wedding is in May, so I will be doing this pretty soon.
