  We started watching Severance and then binged 5 episodes at once. I’m interested to see how I handle darker shows again during the next four years. Last time I had to take a break because my mental health couldn’t handle it. 

  
  

  We went to my grandparent’s house on Saturday. They are very lucky. Homes below and above burned and there was ash everywhere. I helped clean up and thankfully they didn’t fight me on throwing out everything in the fridge. I tried to do it quickly and out of sight and then I went and replaced everything. Fires or not it had to happen. They had stuff from 2020 in the fridge. Going outside to the store was hard. We passed by shelters, burned areas, and people at the store had vacant shell shocked eyes. There’s so much work to be done. We did as much as we could but it didn’t feel like enough.

  It's frigid here - minus 11 when I got up.  It's warmed up to -6 now.  Glad I don't need to leave the house today.

  100% chance of snow predicted in New Orleans for tomorrow!  It's predicted to be 2-4" and snowing all day.  Online, people here are giving the event a French twist spelling.  Sneaux Day!
  
  Unfortunately, my H got really sick on Friday with flulike symptoms.  He's a little better today, but is still pretty down for the count.  He had a cold for a day or two then it turned into whatever this is.  I started feeling cold symptoms last night (uh oh).  I have a really strong immune system, so I'm hopeful to escape with only a cold.
  
  I want to do laundry today so I don't tax the energy system tomorrow.  The heat in our house is provided by gas, so that is a blessing jic the power goes out.  I also need to find my dog's little sweater for her first snow outing.

  We had a good house hunting trip with DS2. We saw 7 houses. The one he liked the most (as did H and I) already has an offer but the owners will take other offers. He can't get into a bidding war so don't really know what his chances are. It was the only house we saw that didn't need a ton of work or the lay out just didn't make sense. There really aren't many houses (like 1-2) for sale in his price range, neighborhood and size that he wants/needs. Keep your fingers crossed that his offer is accepted.
  
  Today I didn't watch the inauguration. I watched reruns and cleaned the house. I am also trying to sell some stuff on Marketplace so was dealing with that. H is getting ready to watch the football game. I'm going to read a book. I might get a lot of books read over the next 4 years while avoiding the news.
