Breakfast was smoother.  Or maybe it was the same but I came off my monumental PMS emotional crisis.

We've had plenty of snow this winter but tomorrow is supposed to be a particularly messy mix of snow/sleet/ice/other catastrophic sounding things and right at commuting time 6-9am so there's obviously a lot of buzz over a possible delayed opening or remote day.  We need 6" for a snow day and that isn't happening, it's mainly supposed to be super icy, but we are definitely curious.
  • Feeling a bit more energetic today after yesterday's 2 naps and 9 hours of sleep last night. G had trouble falling asleep last night but did a great job staying in bed quietly without wanting one of us next to him to the whole time. I think N is getting the same cold I'm trying to kick, hoping he's not as knocked out as i've been. WFH again today. Supposed to have book club tonight but I'm going to bow out since i'm not 100% still.

Started watching "Nobody wants this" the other night and i'm in love. I forgot how much I LOVE Adam Brody. I know Kristin Bell can be polarizing but i think she's charming and have really enjoyed the show so far. Been awhile since I started something new!

Breakfast was smoother here too somehow today even though 3 of us slept until almost 7 and we're usually out the door at 7:30. Boys did great.

Still planning a lunch nap today to take advantage of WFH.

  • My H has a p/t job where he takes pics of hotel event boards.  He shared an elevator with football legend Terry Bradshaw today!

He said to him, "I hope you enjoy your stay in New Orleans."  Terry laughed and said he has been here many times.

Other than that, SSDD.  Very slow day at work which is even better when it's WFH.

  • Nothing much to report on.  SSDD mostly.  Need to do some more chopping/cooking tonight and walk to the library soon.

I just talked to my friend and basically said, If you want to go out, I'm not opposed, but if you don't, I'm totally fine with continuing to grow our friendship, I'd just like clarity.  He said it was friendship.  I said great and continued chatting with him.  So, that's nice.  I'm actually relieved, I still don't feel ready for dating at all and am not really interested in it.

The Cher Show musical is coming and I really want to get tickets.  They're not outrageously priced, but I really don't feel like I can spend money for future things right now.
  • Awww @mrsconn23, so glad to hear from you, and you’d be in good company with the rest of us if you wanted to come and vent about current affairs.
St. thomas is on our March cruise! But not St. John. That one is actually on our Feb 2026 one lol. So I’ll tell my cruise buddy about those NP beaches.  I’m so excited for both of those!
SSDD for me too. I want this week to be over! No superbowl plans but I hope that changes

  • *Hugs* @mrsconn23. Your trip sounded nice! Even if the description of mountain roads with hairpin turns makes me nauseous from the comfort of a stationary office. lol.

I rode from the airport to the resort in the front seat and was so freaked out that I made BIL be co-pilot for the rest of the time and SIL and I sat in the back.  LOL  It was ridic, but DH was a champ in figuring it out.
  • @mrsconn23 welcome back!

Do what you need to do for your mental health.  DH and I have been following Goose and a key member just stated this week that he is taking time out from the tour schedule to refocus on his own mental health.
  • We now all officially have the stomach bug. It’s likely norovirus but not worth getting tested. H was sick all day and I’m starting to feel icky.

We just instacarted pedialyte, Lysol, and prayers.
  • Noooo @charlotte989875 I'm so sorry. Speedy recovery vibes!

  • Oh no! Hope it is a fast illness and everyone feels better soon.
  • @mrsconn23, good to hear from you!  I'm sorry to hear that job didn't work out.  I hope you snag a great one in the near future.  Your all's trip sounds amazing!

@VarunaTT, at least you know where you stand with that guy before your all's rave on Friday.  Sounds just as well it's "friends only".  If the break-up with his g/f was recent, he may not be ready to date.  I haven't heard of the Cher Show musical, but I love her music so I assume it's right up my alley.  I saw Cher in concert about 25 years ago.  It was spectacular!  Almost every song was its own "production" with costume changes, new props and lighting.

@charlotte989875, oh no!  I'm sorry to hear everyone in your family is so sick!  I hope you all recover quickly.  I know it must be tough when parents are sick themselves, but still have all the work of sick children to take care of.

There's a funny commercial that's for some kind of OTC medication.  It's a woman in a doorway looking really sick.  She's saying something like, "I'm really sorry, but I need to take the day off.  I'm feeling terrible."  The verbiage is like she's talking to her workplace.  But then the camera shifts and she's actually talking to a baby standing up in their crib, lol.

  • @short+sassy you can listen to the soundtrack on most streaming services.  It's wonderful, especially the finale song.  I haven't heard anything about the touring version, but the woman who played Cher on Broadway was incredible.  I'm hoping for the same.  I might just wait and go the day of.  It's just with all of **waves around** this, I'm tightening the budget.  I'm very worried about my mother's income and health care.
