How's everyone feeling by you @charlotte989875?

Sweetheart Dance tonight at the twins' school, and older DD is looking forward to spending the evening at a good friend's house.  The last place I feel like going is somewhere dark with a DJ cranking loud music, but I will rise to the occasion as the kids are excited.
Tomorrow holds physical therapy, some errands, a swim meet, and all three kids have parties.
Sunday will be mass, catch-up house cleaning that I won't be able to do Fri/sat, prep cooking for the week and figuring out where I can sign up for a 7-day trial to put on some of the game that I haven't already used.  YoutubeTV is pretty easy to deal with so I'm honestly toying with creating a whole new email address lol.  The older I get the less I care about sports (it might be less age and more emotional bandwidth following the divorce/the dumpster fire of our government)  but I can't justify making an enormous guacamole, etc if the game isn't on, lol
  • We have a concert tonight at the HS and tomorrow is a fencing meet that should hopefully NOT take the entire day.  Then my goal is to get some house stuff done Saturday afternoon/evening.

The expectation is that Sunday AM we're waking up to anywhere between 1 and 8 inches.  I need my backyard to drain because it looks like a swamp at the moment. Depending on how it goes, I may be filling in as the cantor for the mid and late morning masses if our regular guy sees it as too much of an issue to drive.  I set the ball rolling last night that I have no intentions of stepping on toes but don't want to leave the parish in the lurch without a defined cantor for the morning masses.  Our cars have winter tires so I feel at least slightly more confident about getting out.

The rest of the day will be house prep and food prep for the game.  I'm totally on Swift watch and don't really have a horse in the race.

  • Woke up with a theraflu hangover, so a little sluggish this morning but overall feeling a bit better. IL's were supposed to babysit tomorrow night but have the flu and with me sick too the fundraiser is a no go for sure.

Might do a drive-thru dinner and movie night tonight. Not really interested in cooking. Hoping kiddos stay healthy and we can just be outside a bunch this weekend.

Looking at new beds for the boys - have you guys been happy with any Wayfair purchases? I haven't actually ordered from them ever, but they have a few reasonably priced cute beds we like. Just curious about experiences.

@charlotte989875 hoping you guys all feel better soon.

  • I'm hoping for a restful weekend, but it never seems to work out that way. Today is H's birthday, so I'm taking him out tonight. It's still spring temps here, so we'll need to get up on the early side tomorrow to run at the park. We have basically 0 groceries, the house is a wreck, and there is no clean laundry, so we'll try to knock that out early tomorrow. Plus yard work. I've got to get my ass in gear to start acquiring supplies for a backpacking trip, so maybe a trip to REI tomorrow also.

We don't really have plans for the game. I haven't made homemade pizza dough in ages, maybe that. Or maybe a pot of soup or something that takes 0 effort.
  • We have our comedy show tonight. It's so late (9:45) and yes I feel old saying that.

Otherwise SSDD. It's raining here. People don't know how to drive. Nothing new.

I hope everyone has a safe and healthy (or quick recovery) weekend!

  • Lol a bunch of us girls wanted to do something on Vday since the majority of us are single. @leviossa, our show next Friday for the comedian is 9:15. I’m fine by it but some find it late.
@charlotte989875 and @Casadena healthy vibes for you both.
I took a shower today and my water tank overflowed again. I texted my guy that the trick to stop the water wasn’t working, so hopefully he comes around today.  It may have slowed a bit… hopefully.  I’m switching out buckets! I think it’s time for a new one though.  It’s 14 years old and the average is 10–12.
PSA for anyone who wants curly hair from time to time.  I bought a chi spin n curl but it wouldn’t take my strands and kept on screaming at me.  I returned it for this:

It curls beautifully and super easy.  I curl for my “going out hair”

  • Hey there -

This week my brother built us a bin rack for the garage (4 bins high and 5 bins long).  My job this weekend is to organize the garage using those bins and figure out what do do on the other side.  I'll spend Saturday out there.

Tonight it's a quick Walmart run and pick up dinner.  Not sure on dinner yet.  Sunday I'm leading worship in the morning.  Then making my Superbowl Taco Soup.  We'll watch Puppy Bowl and my mom & brothers are coming over for supper.  None of us are particularly interested in the game or half-time but hope for a few good commercials.

Hoping to get a few mins to craft this weekend also, but we'll see.

Callie has a vet appointment on Monday afternoon. I'm not looking forward to getting her in her crate which she hates!  She's due for shots so I'm sure she will be very unhappy.

  • I think I’m at string to be better? I was at least a little hungry so I’m taking that as a good sign. Boys seem to be a little better so fingers crossed we’re on the upswing! Thanks for all the good wishes!!

No real plans this weekend. M and I are doing a mom and me skate at the professional hockey arena on Saturday. Will be his first time on skates!
  • No plans this weekend except seeing Mom.  I'm off early today and I'm pleased about that.  Just SSDD.
  • I had a Nyquil hangover this morning.  I struggled to get out of bed.  DefConn stayed home from school again.

We are supposed to go to OH tomorrow to visit BIL and SIL and DH was going to play in a euchre tournament, but we may not end up going since we all seem to have this stupid cold.  We'll make the call in the morning. DefConn may stay back with my niece no matter what.   I'm kind of OK with not going since I feel like it's been a marathon 2 weeks.  I could just sleep in until I can't stand it both days and be OK with that.  Hopefully by Sunday we'll feel up to going to the Super Bowl party at SIL and BIL's.

  • Good Saturday morning. I slept like the dead last night and work up 2 hours later than usual. The last two weeks must have taken a toll. Everyday I wake up hoping it has all been a bad dream.

@Casadena DD has had really good luck finding beds for her boys on Marketplace. She got a set of IKEA bunkbeds for the twins last summer and this fall she got an antique twin bed for the youngest.

H and I are going to a Billy Joel/Sting concert. It is my Christmas present. We've seen Billy Joel in concert a couple of times and the last time is was so so. I hope he is good tonight. I'm not sure why H bought these tickets because I hadn't mentioned it - didn't even know they were coming. The concert is being held in Lucas Oil stadium which is where the Colts play. It holds a ton of people so we will be in a huge crowd even though I know it won't be full.

Tomorrow is church and I guess we will have the game on. I really never watch so maybe I'll just read or something.

  • Happy weekend buddy. Happy to assist you all with any matrimony services. Thanks.
