Obnoxiously busy after work but work itself should be fairly smooth sailing. It's my youngest sister and brother's birthday today (they're twins), we celebrated a bit on Sunday and have a dinner at Benihana this weekend but I'll try to squeeze in facetimes if I can so the kids can sing to them.
Awe I love Benihana! didn’t sleep much but not too tired yet. Last night my power went out at 6:45 with a text saying they needed to do immediate repairs and it wouldn’t be up till 10. So I took myself to a bad horror movie. It was BAD so I left at 8:30, and when I got home at 9, it was repaired. But no text telling me that it WAS up and running again! I super hate this new iOS update. The mail look is stupid, just list them like they used to - and all my passwords were wiped out (yes the keychain is on) and they’re not restoring when I enter them. I relied heavily on my saved passwords!
Speaking of Benihana, I made a hibachi dinner last night with the fried rice, sauces, chicken, steak, shrimp, veggies and scallops and I can honestly say that it was delicious, but I'll probably never do it again. It was so much work and while it pretty much tasted the same, it took literal hours to prep everything and then cook. Probably part of the issue was that I was trying to do everything in 2 pans because that's all that will really fit on my stove at a time. Would make the fried rice again though, 10/10.
Anyways, that was too ambitious and now I'm tired. For some reason I woke up this morning at like 5:30 with just crazy anxiety. Well, not for "some reason." The destruction of democracy is like an every day dread thing. Otherwise, SSDD.
I'm still tired and trying to kick this cold before the weekend. I slept about 9 hours last night, but no amount of hours is going to make me not tired when I'm sick. I'm moving meetings off my calendar today and trying to block some time for a nap this afternoon.
I don't like the ios email update either. I hate when they try to categorize stuff. Like I recognize that they're both from stores, but a weekly flier is not the same thing as a shipping notification. I do want to know when something ships!
I actually got some decent sleep last night. I drank a caffeine free tea with a load of indica in it and finally got over whatever this newest perimenopause hell is. I think I'll stop by the dispensary and grab some sleeping edibles. I want to be asleep, I'm sleepy, but I'm so restless and my skin just feels like it wants to leave my body and go on a trip without me. I messed up all my meds for about 2 weeks, so I'm sure that's a part of it, but it's never been this bad when I messed up in the past. Still kinda dragging at work though.
Signed into social media and was fed a commercial with Charles LeClerc and Lewis Hamilton (my favorite F1 driver). It was for Peroni beer. I was a little disappointed b/c Hamilton created the NA tequila I really like, Almave. He's never identified as sober, but he's talked about how he thinks alcohol impedes his performance. Well, it was for the NA Peroni! It made me so happy!!! The link between sports and alcohol is so massive, seeing an athlete step out of that lane is so refreshing. The fact that I already admired him just made it feel really good.
No big plans for today. Going over to Mom's to get her gas and hang out for a bit.
@CharmedPam I've often laughed that if Google ever crashes, I won't be able to sign into any website, b/c I rely on their created and saved PW. I'm not sure I'd make it.
The baby sickness continues. I’m exhausted, he’s exhausted and it’s a super busy week. H is interviewing for a role at my company and I really hope he gets it. His best analyst just put in her notice and he’s really ready for a change.
I'm in transit today and doing my best to stay away from people when I'm not crammed into a plane or forced meal. The end of the week is jam packed with both Chiquita and I needing to sing in various places so health is a MUST.
Had a low key St. Patrick's Day last night and I made corned beef sandwiches. We didn't even have a big toast since I had to be up at 4:30 this morning and was just feeling jittery with so much going on. DH was a great support and is WFH today and tomorrow.
I talked to him about the water heater crap and he immediately dumped it to the insurance co with the tenant referred to our insurance co. DH could tell he was trying to angle for like, a set of new basement furniture and was just not going to play with it. So while this may mean we hit some kind of an insurance deductible it's still worth it so the dude can STFU and if he squalks I'm hoping that we can have our insurance refer to the actual owner then a squalky tenant who isn't even ours!
