Not normal behavior planning wedding

My friend's son is getting married. My friend is basically nice but arrogant and the my way or highway type. She is making preparations for her son's wedding. Her future daughter in law is making extravagant demands for the wedding. The future daughter in law, her parents are not helping financially and not helping with any of the tasks for the wedding. My friend is working on all the details in spite of having a full time job. The bride's father is a house husband and he is not lifting a finger. My friend is saying yes to all their demands even though it will be a financial stain for her. She behaves like an obedient puppy dog in front of them. This is abnormal behavior for her.  I have never seen her like this. Putting her foot down and saying no to outrageous things is her character. It pains me to see her strange behavior.  Should I talk to her? Should I tell her to be her usual assertive self? Should I suggest she talk to her son? I have no idea of her son is aware of all this? How can I help her? I will be grateful for any suggestions.

Has she asked you for your opinion? This fits squarely in the realm of mind your own business. Your friend is an adult, she can manage her family affairs however she likes.
  • thanks for your reply... I am just worried about her,,, so asked.... as a friend I want to help her... since I am aware it is not my business, I asked on the forum...
  • I think you need to stay out of it.  IF she's complaining then you can ask her if she wants help but this is a situation where grown adults need to navigate things and the peanut gallery may have the best of intentions but that may actually only make things worse.
  • thank you fir your advice
