The weekend was nice. The baby shower was a lot of fun on Saturday and Mother's Day was really special - mass, the kids and I planted lots of flowers, good food and got to see my own mom.
Although this week isn't slow, it's less busy than last week as far as weeknight engagements (by a touch), which is a win.
Weekend was really nice. Had a great Mother’s Day with H and the boys yesterday. The weather was perfect and we were outside almost all day. J has a stomach bug so is home today but is happy and running so hopefully not too bad.
Weekend was good but felt even shorter than usual since I worked all day on Saturday. I got the last of the mulch spread and got food & house prepped for company. It was my immediate family so they didn't care that I didn't clean the bedroom
Sunday I was worship leader then came home and finished setting up for the cook out. The weather was beautiful - high of 85 but a good breeze. We were on the deck much of the afternoon. One brother got called for Federal jury duty and had to report at 7 AM this morning so he went up to St. Paul last night to avoid the drive this morning. Had a good visit with my Mom, nephew and brothers.
I need to run some errand today so may take the afternoon as my final flex hours from Saturday.
A few things going on this week but I'd like to spend some time getting the garage organized in preparation for bring all the things in our storage unit home. We've had it since we got married as we merged two households and my old office. It's time to sort & purge. It's going to be a big and dirty job but will be nice not to be paying the monthly rent on the unit.
Was off TH/Fri for G's dr visit and H's gma's funeral. G's labs were all good and the funeral was very nice. Boys did great during a very long day. Saturday was nice, we went to a park in the morning, Costco, then H worked out and the boys played with their water table for over an hour in the driveway while I cleaned out my car's interior.
Yesterday was a wonderful mother's day. I worked out first thing and the boys made me cards while I was gone. G's was sweet with hearts and pictures of the two of us, N gave me one and said "Here mom, this is a picture of Daddy. And actually, i've decided it's for me, so i'm going to to keep it". 3 yo's are savage. Then they took me out for breakfast, we picked out some flowers for the porch, and then IL's came over for a few hours and we hung out on the patio with wine and snacks while the boys played in the backyard. Overall, really nice weekend.
Weekend was alright. I irritated my eyeball Saturday so ended up not going to the movie. It's a lot better today, Sunday was still a little rough but it's a lot better today. Went to lunch with Mom on Sunday. Then I just spent awhile driving around and doing some window shopping and shopping for myself. Bought a new book (another TJ Klune for those reading House on the Cerulean Sea, I'll report back), some Legos at a local Lego store which was cool to visit finally, some new NA drinks, and a load of new Harley toys. Got home and realized I started my period. I'm so mad. Haven't had one since November! That's also probably why I was so tired and didn't feel good all last week too.
Looks like everyone had great mother’s days! Well, aside from your eye and uterus betraying you, Varuna. lol at keeping his card @Casadena. When you’re a fan of your own art, you’re a fan.
Weekend was really nice. Jazz concert Friday, Hadestown with a friend on Saturday and Titanique yesterday. I was more excited for Hadestown than Titanique and I ended up disappointed in Hadestown and loved Titanique.
It was SUCH a nice day yesterday I decided to walk from the water tower palace to the train station (50ish minutes). I’m quickly walking to the building, proud of my own map reading skills lol, I pass by a guy and he stuck out his foot (100% intentional) as I’m speed walking by him to get to the door. It was like slow motion for me but I flew straight ahead and tripped like 3 or 4 steps. There was nothing to hold onto either. I did manage to regain my balance and yelled out “woah” (my only reaction to having that happen). Someone was behind him and said “watch out ma’am” for a quick second I thought they may have been pick pocketers working together, they were the only 2 around. But I think the tripper was just a jerk and did it on his own.
There’s some evil in the world. What makes a grown person do that to another grown person? I would have tripped and hurt or scrapped my knee for sure had he succeeded in my falling. I’m a liability without the help!
Happy Mother’s Day to everyone who celebrates, and hugs to everyone for whom it was a challenging day.
Weekend was good. Long but good. Yesterday I picked up my mom and grandma and then we went to a new tea place which turned out really nice! I was unsure about it because reviews were so so but it was a new place for us and the other tea houses nearby aren’t exactly amazing either (food wise at least), and this place did great at both food and ambiance. They even gave us refills of whatever food we wanted and let us substitute items. On Mother’s Day too, which I’m sure is one of their busiest days of the year. I think the reviews were reflective of the fact that the place also does events because we loved it.
Glad that you, your mom and grandma had such a nice experience @levioosa Ugh what a jerk @CharmedPam! How unnerving and I’m glad that you weren’t seriously hurt!

No big plans for the week so far, so SSDD.
