Using my phone, it looks weird on the computer

Weekend was nice, got a lot done around the house and also had some fun moments.  The lighthouse trip was especially nice, the kids didn’t want to leave the beach and I couldn’t blame them, it’s nice this time of year before it’s hot and we’re swimming and super sandy.
    Hoping for a smooth week!

Sounds like a fun day @ei34!

Chicagoland and some dust storm on Friday night. Thankfully we missed it because we were at the musical, but when we got out all the cars had a thin layer of dirt on them. Carwashes were hour long waits both Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday was the comedian. The venue is small anyway. It only holds 55-58 people. The 7:00 show was sold out but we had tickets for the 9:00. 7:00 meant eating at 5 or 8:30 and I don’t like those times. So embarrassing for the (semi well known) comedian Kellen Urskine because 11 people were at the 9:00 show. 7 of that from our group. He was middle of the road funny… i’ve seen funnier. I’ve seen worse. He even made jabs at the room size.
Sunday tea was great. I ended up just bringing store bought treats because she made all the sandwiches and was short on desserts..

Weekend was good. I just kinda sat around and did chores on a relaxed timeline. Watched a few movies. Sunday I went and helped Mom. Boundaries are being drawn and she's chafing but mostly accepting. I love her and watching her decline is rough. I'm also glad, in a weird way, that I'll get this time with her. Moving is next week.

Then I went to a friend's and we watched Evita because he had never seen it. Now, I haven't been intimate for awhile and I'll admit I'm probably touch starved. I also have no interest in dating. All of that to say: young Antonio Banderas as Che was DOING something to me. 🤣🤣  watched a few episodes of The Pitt. I also had a moment about the grey in Noah Wylie's beard. Seems like an interesting show so far.

Short week for us, leaving to visit some friends out west on Thursday and coming back next Tuesday :) looking forward to it! Weekend was nice.

I’m right there with you! I hate dating and that “uncertain talking stage”. I just want someone to come over and netflix and chill with me from time to time.

It's super weird for me too! The ad is covering the thread titles and I can't even click on them. The only way to get here was to go through someone's profile to find recent posts.

Weekend here was really good. We went up to Ohio for my niece's graduation. It's been a while since we'd been there; I forgot how flat it is! We got back late yesterday, so working and trying to get my shit together for what is shaping up to be another dumpster fire week.
  • It was weird on my computer too. I chatted with someone about it and they escalated to the tech team. Finally this morning I was able to get on - I had to go back to the main page to log in because an ad was covering the log in window. I will eventually catch up with everything from last week - the wonkiness started on Thursday for me.

Friday I was walking into the house and misstepped on our garage into the house step. I fell and am still feeling sore. I hit the right side of my body so I have a bruised shoulder, a sore hand (where I tried to catch myself) and my hip/back hurts more than usual. It is getting better but very slowly. We went to DS2's on Friday and got stuck in a traffic accident area. We were 15 minutes from his house bur didn't move for 3 hours. There was no way out! We finally got there about 8:30. We spent all day Saturday hanging pictures, helping him set up things and doing yard work. I think all the boxes and stuff had just overwhelmed him. He was very grateful that we came over to help. It is a nice first house and a good size for him. We came home Saturday night because I had a baby shower to go to Sunday morning. It was a lot of fun and for the daughter of our next door neighbor in our old (26 years ago) neighborhood. It was great catching up with people I hadn't seen in a while.

Ouch @Ilovebeachmusic. Glad it was nothing serious.
happy for your DS. I remember buying my house 10 years ago actually. It was my beginner house too. 10 years later…. Lol

I thought of you and your son on Sunday night!  I was fun browsing Cincinnati real estate for the first time in a while.  When I suddenly remembered one of your sons was buying his first home in the Dayton area.  I was trying to remember if he had closed or not.  Apparently so!  It's good to hear he is starting to settle in.

I'm quite surprised Trump hasn't already nixed the ACA, but he could do that or push for it whenever he wants.  That is what originally changed my plans to move more quickly.  Either myself or my H need to find an in-person or 100% remote job with health insurance first.

I hate to say it, but I'm paralyzed with fear at the moment to find another job because I think my current one would still be solid, even in a major recession with high unemployment.  I'm waiting to see how tariffs play out with our biggest trading partners after this "freeze" is over.

I think/hope he's done this freeze because he finally realizes what a giant blunder it is but certainly can't admit that.  So he'll come out of the freeze with "look at the biggie, better tariff deals I got us!", even if it not true.  But that's how he'll save face.

Or maybe it's been a ploy all along to manipulate the stock markets and he's never had any intention of sending the US on a bullet train to financial ruin.

But he's also an unpredictable lunatic who believes his own obvious lies, so maybe he does think we can magically become a self-sufficient country who doesn't need the rest of the world to be our suppliers and customers, smh.

I feel like I sound PARANOID with "what ifs" and being way too cautious.  Especially since there is definitely a higher cost to live here for most of our bills, as compared to Cincy.  That's the biggest reason we decided to move there to begin with.

But then there are SO many massive changes being made quickly on government agencies/policies that I never would have expected to be touched by any administration.

I've even been tempted by and given some thought to getting a job teaching English in Vietnam or South Korea for a few years.  They both have a demand.  Just sell it all and bail.

Last weekend I was at my sister's wedding and everything went just fine. I have been preparing for this event for an incredibly long time. From choosing an outfit to preparing my physical form, and in this I was perfectly helped by an alternative to the usual workouts in the https://betterme.world/articles/side-plank-alternative/  gym.  I'm glad that the time with my family and my sister's wedding went great, and most importantly, I now know how to get in great shape quickly and effectively.
  • My weekend was great to be honest.
