It’s dreary, rainy and cool (and getting colder) here, so I’m totally dragging.  Another busy evening later, although those are starting to wind down.

Finished The Four Seasons on Netflix last night and I have feelings about it.

@ILoveBeachMusic how are you feeling post-fall?

Oh I keep forgetting to go back to Four Seasons. I liked what I saw. Right now I’m watching the series Good American Family (the Natalia Grace tv series) and I just binged “Fred and Rose West” on netflix. Wooooh that’s a wild ride.  But very well done.
Last night I made chocolate covered strawberries with hershey zero sugar chips and they were excellent. It’s highway robbery for edible arrangements or rocky mountain chocolate factory. Plus, I shouldn’t eat the real chocolate ones so I’m so happy I have a cheap alternative that’s for me and doesn’t taste yucky.
I also went to my laser removal appt. She started to do my top lip and I pulled away and told her not to do that area because the pain was so unbearable. Ok. I hate to toot my own horn but anyone who has done ANY needle or laser on me has commented on my impeccable pain tolerance. I’ve had people tell me it was a pleasure to work on me because I was so easy to work with. To not be able to handle this speaks VOLUMES. I told her I can’t do top lip ever since they changed the laser a year, Year and a half ago. “Is it the air?” It’s 100% not the air flow. It’s the new laser. She said the laser is the same since 10 years but they changed the machine in 2023. Well. That’s not what I was told, but whatever they did made it more painful because I used to tolerate the old one. And I’m not the only one who thinks so! @Casadena

I'm ready for this week to be over already.  I've been out of coffee all week, so I'm just kinda sleepy.  I'm in that weird "do I buy groceries b/c I'll just have to move them" week before moving.  I have tea with caffeine in it, but I love the smell of coffee and it wakes me up by itself, so the tea isn't doing it.

Otherwise, SSDD.  Nothing too much going on except work and prepping for the move.

@charmedpam same about the pain tolerance and I’ve had a lot of stuff done too but getting my legs done is next level for me. I feel like I’m in the middle of a Lamaze class trying to breathe my way through it. Brazilian was a breeze.

SSDD. I’m pretty tired. Trying to get back into a solid work out routine with more weights and not as much cardio. I really think the second round of Covid last year just took the very little stamina I had. But otherwise nothing else is up. Grandma is sick but mom took her to the doctors yesterday and she got some antibiotics and steroids. I’m trying to be as even keeled as possible because H is in the last three weeks of school, has an unexpected interview, and the man is stressing. Anyways, nothing much new over here. Thinking about you all.

  • It’s also cold and rainy here and j was up a bunch last night so I’m dragging too. I have a marathon day of interviews Defoe and open role on my team and I’m already tired.
  • I'll join the crowd of dragging today. We had some wild storms roll in at around 1 this morning. Normally I sleep through it, but it scared the dog and she woke me up. Then for whatever reason H couldn't sleep and kept getting his ipad, which is light that keeps me up. Separate bedrooms is sounding better and better.

Nothing much else. It's a short week for me and I'm ready to be done.

It's cold enough that I have a long sleeved shirt on, a cashmere sweater over it and my space heater on at my desk.  So OF COURSE we have a baseball game later.  I think I'm taking a winter coat.

Woof on both cold/rainy baseball games and new lasers at Milan.

Leaving for vacation tomorrow and we are about 4% packed. I'm stressed and tired and not feeling great. Need to fly through that tonight and then sleep.

I won't be able to do Prudie tomorrow. Can someone else do it?
  • I"m so tired of this cold wet weather. We have company coming for the race this weekend and are trying to figure out what to do not on race day.

I'm also sick and tired of people saying that Biden's cancer was a cover up. Leave the man and his family be! They are trying to figure out the course for the future.  I know it is just the republicans trying to deflect from what is really going on but good grief! It just shows there is absolutely no decency in this administration.

Thanks for asking @ei34. I'm still pretty sore. Yesterday I went to the chiropractor and think I feel worse than I did before. I didn't workout today and am thinking about not going tomorrow either. I haven't been sleeping well either. I think it is a combination of it hurts to roll over and I've been off my HRT for long enough that I'm getting back symptoms - not sleeping and hot flashes. I'll give it a little longer then will be calling my gyn!

I have book club tonight. The Secret Book of Flora Lee. It was really good. It take a bit for me to get into it but then it had me hooked.
  • @levioosa legs! Sounds painful and a looooong time on that table! (i’m 6’0 lol)
@cassadena nothing like packing under pressure. I usually do mine the day of, even if I leave at 5.

It’s so cold here! It makes me soooo sleepy too. I need a nap. And warmth. Gimme my bed at this point.

@charmedpam. It’s pretty quick. Like 15 minutes max. I can get full legs, underarms and Brazilian all done in under 30 minutes. I’m only 5’1” though lol.

In regards to Biden, I am rolling my eyes so hard at the people who are believing that he lied on his physical but are swallowing hook line and sinker the idea that Cheeto in Chief is 6’3”, weighs 224 lbs with 3% body fat and a natural resting heart rate of 62 and total cholesterol of 140. Okay, actually I’m looking at his supposed labs now and they get so much funnier longer you look at them.

I’m not so blindly loyal that I can’t see a world in which maybe Biden knew and decided to run and try to win before stepping down and handing control to Kamala anyways, however I think it’s much more likely he just let his ego get the best of him and waited far too long to drop out. I’ve seen aggressive cancer pop up literally weeks after a normal screening test. My own aunt was told that had she gotten her mammogram on time (Covid delayed it) they would have missed her cancer completely and it probably would have been stage III or IV by the time she either noticed or came back for her next annual mammogram. She was only late for her screening by 2-3 months. Cancer is awful and scary.

  • @CharmedPam, On arm and leg length, lol.  I've been reading peoples' stories who've lost 100+ lbs and have gotten excess skin removal surgery.

One woman was talking about the horror of having a 12" scar running down each upper arm, as she was recovering from "bat wing" removal surgery.  I look at my own upper arm attached to my short 5'0" frame and told it, "There is NO WAY you are anywhere near 12" long.

I took out a tape measure and it was even more dramatic than I thought.  Only 8" long.  The average length for a woman's upper arm is 12.9".

Which brings me to my next conclusion.  Whatever plastic surgeon I choose needs to give me a 25% discount on my upper arm and thigh excess skin removal surgeries.  It's only fair, less effort and time needed.  I'm sure that's how it works (in my wildest dreams), LMAO.

@levioosa, I just looked it up because I was curious if 3% body fat can even support life.  Apparently, that is the bare minimum for men.  But for context, professional male body builders are usually around 7% when they are actively competing.  But it trends a bit higher in their off season.

Maybe he's confusing himself with fellow Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger?  But AS from his Conan the Barbarian days over 40 years ago.

Today was pretty stressful for me—I spent most of the day looking for the perfect dresses for my bridesmaids. It’s harder than I thought to find something everyone loves! If anyone’s planning weddings or looking for stylish dresses, I’ve heard great things about Halara. I want to contact halara customer service, maybe I'll find them there.
