Temps dipped into the 40s here so I put the heat back on, which helped.  Super rainy.  But today and tomorrow are light days after work and we have a long weekend with Monday off, so I am taking the win.
So far so good at work.  The students are totally checked out and kind of off the walls by now (although we still have over a month to go). Summer-y weather amplifies that, so I guess the dreariness is a good thing.
  • Hope those little rascals settle down for ya @ei34. School endings are so across the board right now.

i quickly got an IPL in before work (this is what I get from time to time for my rosacea @Casadena) and that laser also stings! But great for my skin texture. She said no make up or sauna’s for the day. I brought my jones road WTF (which is a balm more than a foundation) because I can’t be out in public without it, but when I got to work I was like… eh, I look a bit washed out but not that bad. So I just put eye make up on (to not look 1/2 dead) and I’m actually following the rules. Haha! Now, the sauna thing I may be bending. It’s ice cold in our office so I need a heater on, and there’s like one temp on this thing - which is hot high (actually reached me) or hot low (still makes it cold around me).

I'm just ready for the week to be over and to be moving forward on moving.  I keep wanting to start packing and I'm like, this will be a lot easier if you just start on Saturday rather than trying to piece meal this.  I don't think it'll take me that long really, but I'll have 4 and a half days to get it all accomplished.  I've called to have my couches picked up and taken to the dump on Thursday, and I'll do the big cleaning job here that day too.  Harley is going to the kittie hotel for moving day so that we can have the doors open at both places without worrying about her dashing out or having to be stuck in her carrier.  I want it to be as smooth for her as possible and not having her around while everything is moving, loud, and with unknown people will keep her calmer.

Otherwise, SSDD.  I just know the one boss is going to slam me with Rush tasks tomorrow, so I'm trying to get ahead on that.

Good luck on the moving tasks @VarunaTT.  Moving sucks, even if it is for a good reason.

We have a low key weekend planned.  We'll put flowers out at my family cemeteries with my mom on Saturday.  Otherwise, not too much happening.  I want to get some of my crafts organized and stored in totes for the sale.

My cleaning person didn't show yesterday and isn't responding to texts.  I'm not sure if she's ghosting me or if it's more serious.  If I don't hear from her soon, I'll need to find and schedule someone else.

  • Good luck with the move @VarunaTT
finding a good cleaner is next to impossible @MNNEBride, I hope she responds soon

  • Today is my Friday and I'm thrilled! H and I are going out for our anniversary tonight to this kind of bougie place, so as soon as I finish work I need to hop in the shower and do my hair and makeup. Tomorrow we'll do a run at the flat park, then a few errands and probably just relaxing. Then at ridiculous o'clock on Saturday morning, we're heading up to the mountains for a backpacking trip with a group of friends. This time we're bringing husbands, kids, and dogs, so we will be a fairly large group. I'm curious about how it's going to work, but really excited. Hopefully the rain will hold off and it won't be too hot.
