Weekend here was nice.  Awesome mix of family and friend time, with not-too-hot weather, a fun Mets win, good food, and some sweet newborn time.

@charlotte989875 how's it going in the boot?
@ILoveBeachMusic how is Nana and Pop Pop camp going?  My closest-in-age sister and I used to spend a few days with my maternal grandparents each summer, we're talking 33-36 years ago, and to this day they're some of my fondest memories
@levioosa how are you?  Hope the weekend brought some peace (not in general, I know, but at least a break from work)

FWP - Lands End is having a big sale and they've always been one of my main go-to's for the kids but their sizing doesn't currently work for us.  I totally get not having a different size for every age.  We made size 6 and 8 work, but for some reason they do a combo, 10-12, which doesn't work.  I bought a couple of shirts on sale to see if they'd work, but they swam on all three kids.  Pants are even harder so I didn't even attempt.  Just bummed out getting the sale emails/catalogue I always get this time of year, and seeing the prices, but knowing their size is too big
  • It was a good weekend.  All of the remaining "stuff" has been taken care of.  I have one table I need to move in from the garage, but I'm trying to figure out where to put it while I'm not using it.  It's a cutting/crafting table that's meant to be a perfect standing height.  I use it for a lot of stuff, so I'd like it to be convenient too.  I haven't figured it out yet.

I did yoga this morning!  I'm trying to lean into the next step which is getting exercise added back into my daily routine.  I hate it, thanks.   I'm just never going to "like" exercise, it's not in my personality makeup.

Otherwise, SSDD.  This is my first week back into seeing movies and I'm excited.  I even found a movie tracker journal I really like, so I'll be trying to use that as well.
  • Good on you @VarunaTT.

I've learned to like working out but for the people who make that their personality?  I don't think it's going to be me.

Weekend went well.  The kids did a local production of Finding Nemo and the director was so complimentary about Chiquita it was really great.  We had a friend of Chiquito's over Saturday afternoon and Sunday I took Chiquita and two friends to see the new Jurassic World movie.

It won zero awards for script or plotline but it held my attention and I was fully loving the effects.   Sometimes you need a great escape to effects and this one was it.  Lady behind me: Shut up please.
  • Yay for “chupacabres” lol.

Weekend was a mixed bag. Saturday was fine. H and I had a little date night and walked to dinner which was nice. Sunday was stressful. My parents came over and they’re just a lot in general. I know they’re grieving but it’s all just a lot of stuff that isn’t new either.

I’m running errands and getting some appointments out of the way. Then it’s work all week. I hope everyone is staying cool!

  • Holy cow, chupacabres are a lot bigger than they look in tiktok videos!

Weekend here was ok. We have this weird weather thing going on where it's downright cool outside; that never happens here in August. It was good weather to run, but not for much else. I ended up spending a lot of time reading and just chilling on my deck in a sweater. I cannot figure out why I'm so tired today, but it's probably the rain.

I’ve never heard of a capybara. But it looks like he’s having fun!
@VarunaTT I seriously will never like working out. It is a chore.

  • Nana and Papa camp is going pretty well, thanks for asking @ei34. Yesterday (Monday)  we went to the zoo and H made pizzas in his pizza oven. The boys got their own individual pizza with their choice of toppings. I took them to a nearby park to hit some tennis balls around. I had forgotten how little hitting is done with 7 and 4 year olds lol! Sunday night we went to our fave Italian restaurant. They loved it and were so well behaved.

One of the good things about them being here is that I'm not watching much news so I don't have the stress of the dumpster fire this country has become. Unfortunately, I do know a little. I just get so stressed out about it all.

Today is a chill day. We are hopefully going swimming (it really hasn't been hot enough since they've been here). I'm not complaining because it was great weather to be at the zoo and the outdoor part of the Children's Museum. We've also eaten on our porch every dinner and lunch. We are returning library books and packing up to take them home tomorrow.

I had a pretty busy weekend. I'm going on a trip and still have a lot to do before I can finally go on vacation. I've been preparing for this summer for a long time. I started watching my diet more closely, added some workouts to my daily routine, and the fact that I can Buy Mounjaro Online has helped me a lot. So, I just need to pack a few more things, gather everything I need, and I'll be on vacation.
