  Morning all!
  my prime finds suck! Last night I threw 11 things in my cart and nothing went on sale. One item even went up. The pair of ryka’s were always on sale so I got those for my upcoming trips anyway. 

  
  

  We had a DRASTIC weather change and my mood is feeling it. The weekend was so warm but a great non humidity warm and yesterday/today was rainy and gloomy. Every single person I talked to yesterday said they were tired. I was too, but had a long Sunday and jumped right back into work and needed the re-coupe

  I did see something about how we should avoid buying Prime in October because sellers will inflate pricing in October and then use it to give basically fake "deals" coming into Black Friday. I am trying really hard to avoid Prime when possible anyways, but something maybe to look into. 
  
  SSDD here. All I do is work now. H might have a job opportunity. I hope so. I'm only on week two of overtime and I'm exhausted.

  I never had prime, but I've been avoiding amazon too @levioosa .  Bezos is a loser.  I am a big Costco shopper and agree @short+sassy , I get lots of good clothing there.
  
  Work has been crazy.  Staying late for the weekly meeting and not loving that.  It'll be a fairly light evening though, I'm thankful for that.

  I see some of that all year long.  It's "fake" discounts that are always there.  But I'm familiar with the normal pricing for most of the things I buy during Prime Days and they really are cheaper.  The first place I check when the event starts is my "subscribe and save"/"previous orders"/wish list, to see if any of those items are included.
  
  The gift card section is especially great.  They usually have a number of "$50 gift cards for $40".  I only see that during Prime Days.

  Their normal clothing prices are great.  I got my favorite pair of jeans there for $22.  But then their clearance clothing often has unbelievable deals!  I've bought $8 pairs of jeans or skorts and $3-$5 tops and cardigans.
  
  My husband also likes their clothes and gets most of his there.  We were there this weekend and he was looking for shorts.  He was surprised they didn't have any.  I told him we are going into Fall and we probably won't see shorts again until Spring.  I texted him earlier today to go look at Amazon and Walmart.

  I try to avoid Amazon but I find it difficult to do for some purchases. I just don't want to be driving all over the place to find certain personal care products. I seldom buy clothing on amazon but do get my bras there (i'm trying to find one I like now). I have seriously cut down on my purchases from there since the election.

  Yeah - I'm not loving Amazon either but I also am trying hard to manage both cost and time.   The reality is that CVS or Walgreens or the local supermarket for personal care are more expensive but we do try to do the same as above and get a lot through Costco.   The issue is that Costco just doesn't have the same quantity of personal care items that BJs did.  So we split the difference and get as much as we can at Costco, smaller purchases at the local supermarket and some items subscribe and save.   Plus, when a kid comes to me and says "I Need a yellow t shirt for Thursday" Amazon delivers.

  @banana468 that's me with Target.  Definitely hate that the places with the best prices, quantity and variety are the ones I have to boycott.

  Yeah between Target, Walmart and Amazon there aren't a lot of choices. We buy as much as possible at Costco but they don't have everything.

  I think selection can vary by Costco too.  Ours is the only in the area but we live in one of the forgotten sections of CT which is basically 'not near NYC' and consequently I think there are things you can get in other stores not here.
  
  We LOVE the place and it's actually the closest gas station so I'll sometimes swing in and not even go to the store itself just to fill up my car.   But we get our milk, bread, cereal, chips, applesauce and a lot of meat there.   Target can be a fill in for other items like feminine products (our Costco selection is limited).
