This week is packing a punch, I'm so thankful it's winding down.  The kids have drama rehearsal after school, they're usually home before me, so at least I'll have about 45min of quiet when I get home.  Really looking forward to that (it's the little things).
  • I'm very glad tomorrow is Friday.  My body is just tired, but I'm pushing it in a way I haven't in years, so I know why, but still tired.  Work is also an exercise in frustration.  I went from a solid team of 2 attorneys, 2 states, 1 paralegal to 4 attorneys, 3 states, and 3 paralegals.  I'm trying to be gracious, but it's really difficult to manage and everyone around me is bitching to me about their stuff.  I'm just over here working my ass off (which has been noticed and thanks, it's more the people on my level causing issues) and wishing they'd leave me out of their BS loop.  I've started putting DND on my Teams, but letting my management know why and that they can still contact me.

Otherwise, it's pretty SSDD.  I have to put in another run today and do my prep cooking for the rest of the week.  If you use an eyebrow pencil, I tried the new L'OReal Faux Brow that's been being advertised and I LOVE it.  It fills in great and then creates the brush stroke for the length I'm missing.  The colors are limited, but mine was pretty close.  It also STAYS and doesn't smear off like some have in the past.

  • @VarunaTT I think the older L'Oreal pen is what Chiquita used when she had a brow slit.  It was fantastic!  (She's now back to two very healthy caterpillar brows like mom!).

I have had insomnia twice this week which is a treat let me tell you.  Chiquita has PT and some of the appointments are at 7 so I'm restless and then in the shower at 6 to be out the door and to our destination (a 20 min ride) with my 'face on'.

I'm hoping to settle into a less nervous state at 3 AM.
  • My H and I had a "worse case scenario" discussion, if I get laid off.  We would definitely put our house up for sale and move to Cincinnati.  The only thing that's really been keeping us here is my job.  But if that's gone, there is no reason to stay because I'd be dealing with the terror of the ACA ending no matter where I was.

He thinks my job is secure, but I appreciate he listened to me on "what ifs".  Plus things we should be doing right now to get ready for a move anyway.  It helps me a lot to stay on an even keel when I have Plan Bs and Cs ready.

For example, from prior research, I already have a nice looking but affordable apartment complex, that waives income requirements with a higher security deposit.  I've also looked at pricing for extended stay motels.  There's a section of town (not sketchy, for the win) that has a lot of them.  That would suuucckkk, but is doable.

I also found a moving company that would charge $1800-$3000 for the move.  Though I've heard moving companies are notorious for having "extra charges" that can really inflate the price.  The low end is them unassembling our furniture and taking our boxes, moving it 800 miles away to Cincy, and then putting the furniture back together and putting the boxes where we want them.  The high end is them doing all of that, plus packing all our stuff (including supplies) for us!  What?!?!  I cannot believe how cheap that is.  A great and affordable option if one of us gets an in-person job and we need to move fairly quickly.

  • Fingers crossed when you move @short+sassy, it’s on your own terms and not under bleak conditions
a beauty influencer told me about the maybeline total temptation and I love it for the non smear factor too. But I’m not married to it. Maybe I’ll give the l’oreal a try.

So here’s what not to do. If you see your size in a dress not on a prime deal, but the lower size is - spend that extra $25 for your size. Lol. It’s black and while it looked OK in the mirror, the camera will pick.up.every.single.detail. Oh no no no. I was going to use it at last nights witchy event and as a vampire for the 25th but now who’s looking for a new costume?

  • I have book club tonight with the school moms - looking forward to wine, good italian and seeing them all for the first time in a few months!

N has been obsessed lately with having another baby in the family and has been asking SO many questions. Apparently my answers are not cutting it because he asked me the other day out of the blue" so, how does the stuff get mixed up? Is there a machine that mixes the baby stuff and just shoots it into your tummy?" lol. I mean, thats kind of how your brother got here, yeah... Too funny.

Doing pumpkin patch this Saturday and H is taking dudes to another long ass kid birthday party on Sunday so I can paint our half bathroom. We're slowing getting house things moving and i'm anxious to push forward!
  • lol @casadena

Work today and because this place doesn't know how to get their shit together, it looks like I am alone today instead of sharing the department with another provider. It's annoying.

    Otherwise, SSDD.
