Anyone else dragging today? I hope that all had an enjoyable weekend!

Good morning- definitely dragging this morning. Getting coffee onboard and hope it kicks in soon.

My Friday meeting was.... disappointing. I received a job offer but, it's a slight demotion. I'll keep my salary & benefits and basically will be doing the same duties I have now. But it stings when I have the most seniority & experience and they give me the lower position. I spent the weekend trying to process the news and my brain knows that my worth is not defined by my job title, but my feelings are hurt and that may take awhile to heal. The other thing is the position is hybrid, meaning I'll need to be onsite about 50% of the time. That will work for our home situation now, but not sure what the future will bring. I am thankful to still have a job.

The rest of the weekend was pretty good. We had our attorney meeting Friday afternoon to make sure our ducks are in a row with wills, advance directives and now, Powers of Attorney. Then we picked up DH's glasses and stopped at Hobby Lobby to get a frame for my academic appointment certificate.

Saturday we drove to our friend's house in the cities to pick them up and go to the train ride. It was about 2 hours from their home and we had a great time. The train car was accessible, the scenery was gorgeous with the new snow this week and Santa came to visit us lol. The roads were not great driving home from our friend's house but we made it without incident. Now we need a car wash since the backup camera and front radar are junked up from messy roads.

Yesterday we hung out and watched the Vikings' game and then the Packers. I ran to the grocery store for some items on a weekend sale and placed orders with Sam's and Walmart to pick up tonight after work.

I can't believe it's just a couple of weeks until Christmas. I still need to decorate the inside of the house, make a few goodies and finish shopping for a few gifts. EEK.

I know. I just have my nieces and nephews to buy for and I’m at a loss. Usually I’m a good gift giver.
I’m not dragging but quickly realizing my body wants to wake up at 4 lately. And it’s too late to take a sleeping pill, so now my 4 am looks like I workout till I tire myself out. It’s stupid and I don’t like it. Also, I’m noticing rapid rapid grey growth in my roots and now sides of my head. That is also stupid and I don’t like it. I may be 46 on paper, but my mind thinks I’m still 30.

I'm in a funk on gifts this year. It's not good and I need to get out of it.

The weekend was good! Chiquito camped with Scouts over the weekend and earned the right to take his pocket knife with him to Scouts now.

Saturday I spent from 9:30 AM til 7:30 at the HS helping with Chiquita's fencing tournament. She was eliminated in the first DE round but I had to giggle as she handled things with a sense of humor and when the score become 6-7 she turned towards me and made the hand gesture.

Sunday was a long one too and I drove with her friend and the friend's mom who is a friend of mine to NYC where we watched HP and the Cursed Child. It was SO GOOD and the applause as Tom Felton entered was a solid minute long. I'd see it again tomorrow - so good!

Weekend was fine- H went to camp but the boys and I had fun. We did shopping for gingerbread houses then built the houses with their cousins. M was way more interested in taste testing the candy as he said then he was in actually decorating the house. J tried his first peanut butter M&T’s and was a huge fan.

I’ve been feeling pretty overwhelmed and just bad lately- my therapist suggested upping my frequency to twice a week, so I started that today. Life has just been a lot and I’m no longer handling it as well as I should.

@MNNEBride the work meeting sounds really frustrating. Your feelings about it totally make sense! The train sound sounds incredible.

The Friendsmas party on Saturday was fun, and our trip into the city yesterday was wonderful. We enjoyed the tree early, with low crowds, 9am mass at St. Patrick's felt special, and the Christmas restaurant was pretty good. We all woke up with colds but hoping they go away quickly instead of morphing into fevers and body aches. The twins' winter concert is tonight at 7, so it'll be a later night, although the rest of the week is fairly smooth.

Baby J’s house kept collapsing so we improvised!

It was a good weekend. Puttered around the house doing chores. Got some future decisions made that I feel good about. Played with Harley, watched some movies, just relaxed mostly.

Well, they took my tooth. He looked at it and said that he didn't think he could save it. As they were taking it out, he said he was glad he didn't try to save it, he couldn't have. It was a cavity out of control. He had to take it out in pieces and I'm staying home from work, b/c my entire face hurts from the pressure. Still bleeding a bit too. Have 2 appointments next week for deep cleans (insurance makes us do 1 side at a time for some unknown reason, probably hoping I'll forget, hahaha, good try), and then I have 4 cavities, but he's only going to fill 2 and see how the others age since I floss regularly and we'll get the deep cleaning done. The tooth is the very back upper right molar. He said that if you had to lose a tooth, this was the easiest one and we don't have to do an implant at this time. Which made me really happy, I had so many implant surgery cases I really wanted to avoid it.

Otherwise, just relaxing at home now. I started reading a great book and I think I'll do that for most of the day.

Weekend was good! Friday was H's work holiday thing. We went bowling and out for dinner. Nice to see everyone and see H relax a have fun with people he knows well and is comfortable with.

Saturday we just hung out mostly. Took the boys to to shop for H's christmas present and they each picked out a lego set, lol. G was deciding between that, a monster truck, and shirt. They wrapped them and 1 is now under the tree and one is under the coffee table (N was adamant it stay there). Yesterday H took G sledding in th emorning and N and I hung out at home. Went out to lunch and then to a christmas event at the childrens museum we're members of. They are nearing the upper age limit of having fun there, so it was nice to go probably the last time
