Does anybody have any technological purchases that they recommend?

Hey community. We are a couple who is going to be getting married within the next 2 years.

Just straight off the bat, we wanted to go through our budget, and see if there was any worthwhile tools we could purchase from a $500 bucket for any apps, websites, or services which could help out before, during or after the big day.

Any recommendations from anyone who have gone through the process and were able to get their money's worth from these kinds of tools?

Re: Does anybody have any technological purchases that they recommend?

  • Zola (website/RSVPs), WithJoy, Festa (guest texting and updates), TextMyWedding, Wedping, Joy, AllSeated (seating chart), Guestpix (photo uploads).

These are the main ones I’ve seen people actually use, and there are definitely more out there depending on what you need.
  • Oh wow!

I have not heard of many of these.
What are the prices on them, and which one would you say is something that you wouldn't go without?

Even if you had no money to spend?

Yeah totally — some of these aren’t super mainstream yet, so here’s a quick sense of pricing from what I know:

    Zola — free for websites/RSVPs
WithJoy — mostly free, some paid add-ons
Festa — around $3 per guest (but I’ve seen a lot of promos)
    TextMyWedding — I’ve seen packages around $100–$300
Wedping — not sure on exact pricing, I think it’s generally on the lower end
Joy — free for most features
AllSeated — usually paid, pricing varies a lot depending on vendor access
Guestpix — around $49–$99 depending on the package

If I had to pick one I wouldn’t go without, honestly it’d be something that handles guest communication. People underestimate how many “what time is the ceremony again?” or “where do we park?” texts they get the week of the wedding. Festa is the one I’ve seen do this well if you’re curious: instagram.com/festa.coordinator

And if I had absolutely no money to spend, I’d still grab a free website/RSVP tool like Zola or Joy just to keep everything in one place. It saves a ton of headaches. Zola link: www.zola.com
  • Can you tell me a bit more about your personal experience with Festa. I checked out their instagram account and they look very cool and hip.

    But sort of new.

    Any anecdotes?
  • I was actually a guest at a wedding where the couple used Festa, and that’s what made me realize its super legitt we were texting Festa instead of bothering the couple. You could genuinely see the difference. they weren’t getting texts all day and they barely touched their phones. They even mentioned in their welcome speech that Festa basically saved them from spending the whole weekend dealing with guest questions. It was also really fast, pretty cool tech tbh.
  • Thank you so much for your help. I'll be adding Festa into my budget list.
    Along with Zola.
