    The weekend here was nice (heaviness of our-country-the-dumpster-fire aside).  My niece's baptism was lovely and it was wonderful seeing some aunts, uncles and cousins that I just don't see as much anymore.  Sunday was pretty quiet, which we all needed.  

    The end of the quarter is this Friday, so work will be busy, and it should be a fairly normal week at home.

    On Saturday, I woke up feeling fine, but as the morning progressed, I began to feel sick.  Ended up taking a 3.5-hour nap and felt a little better.  Watched the Packers vs Bears game - UGH.  Maybe next year.

    On Sunday, I felt better.  I was a worship leader at church.  As a sanctuary congregation, we've been added to a couple of lists for likely ICE stops.  We now have a plan in place in case it should happen during services or at other times of the week.  We are also part of an effort to pick up and deliver groceries to those who don't feel safe leaving their homes.  

    I had scheduled PTO this morning to take DH to a medical appointment, but he woke up with a stomach bug, so that was rescheduled until next week.  My new role starts on Wednesday, and we have a mandatory team meeting today about "Change Management".  

    I have a dentist appointment tonight and a haircut scheduled for tomorrow night.  I also need to drop off our old all-in-one computer for recycling.  The new one came last week, and it's all set up.  It's updated and will be more efficient for crafting.

    I had a very boring weekend. I just made sure that the rest of them aren’t like that, so I booked some meetups. Literally did nothing on Saturday but sleep. I guess I needed catch up on it. Sunday even slept in and then went to a meet up dinner. Met some nice ladies (it was co-ed but the majority of the attendee’s are women) and most importantly got out of the house even if it was just an over priced dinner.

    Weekend was good. Swim lessons, lunch with IL's and then hung out at their house for a bit Saturday afternoon. Boys were at each other's throats yesterday morning so we pivoted and went out for lunch, to a cool park, then a couple quick errands.

    Weekend was good; M did a ski lesson and had hockey practice and huge BILLS WIN!!

    Then today I got called to pick up J from daycare from a rash so we’re waiting for our pediatrician appointment because I’m not waiting to see with this kid. Ugh happy Monday.

    I came down with a version of H's cold over the weekend. I totally lost my voice on Saturday so I just laid low. Sunday H went to church while I remained home with my germs. By Sunday evening my voice was back. House is back to normal post-Christmas. I'm cleaning now in anticipation of being gone 5 weeks. I need to message a cleaning service that I want to use while I am recuperating from 2 surgeries. H can do light house work but he doesn't "see" what needs to be cleaned. Also he will be doing all the cooking and grocery shopping. I'm also getting ready to sign up for Medicare. Ugh!

    Back to the grind today.  So far, so good.  Either my attorneys listened and didn't have a lot of work (except for my problem attorney) or it all was covered.  I sent out thanks yous.  When I did, I discovered someone who was hired 1 month before me, got a promotion.  Called my supervisor to discuss (it's basically just a title bump, maybe a small raise) why I had not received a similar promotion.  Started going over things and had an answer to each thing, as well as providing additional materials, knowledge, and achievements.  So, hopefully this is just something that slid through the cracks and I get the same promotion here soon.

    I took this weekend to be totally relaxing before returning to work.  I think I'm going to make this first full week of the year off, a traditional thing.  It was really nice in terms of a break after all of the holiday stuffs and I didn't have to deal with....hm....people who don't know how to plan appropriately.
