I usually grocery shop early on Saturday mornings, unless it's going to be a busy day, in which case I move it to Friday before work.  I leave the shelf stable stuff in the car and just bring the fridge/freezer items into the work fridge.  It's so cold right now that not only did I leave it all in the car, I'm actually worried about the produce in the single digits.  Might move it in here when I have a break.

Opening night was great- the kids had a ball and are very proud of themselves.  Three shows to go, tonight and two tomorrow at 1 and 7.  Helping at the cast party between the shows, with a very quiet and restful Sunday planned.
  • Glad to hear the show went well!

I am still processing the merger news. It's not too late to back out because I haven't given notice to my work yet, but it's more to figure out. I hope I'm not working hard against the universe giving me signs I should stay where I'm at. But where I'm at isn't great either.

This week has been something else. There have been a lot of crazy situations and I am ready for the weekend. We are supposed to visit the grandparents tomorrow. Sunday we don't have any plans and I prefer it that way.

I hope everyone has a good, safe, and warm weekend!

  • Using my WFH day today for the first time in almost a month. Very excited about that. Had laser appt early this morning, couple meetings, now a couple smaller tasks and errands/cleaning this afternoon. IT's snowing again and I love it :) Nice to sit by the window all morning and watch!

My hair is driving me nuts. It's long but grows out SO unevenly. I'm getting the urge to chop it all off but I know it will drive me nuts to be short after a couple weeks too. FWP for sure.

Weekend is swim lessons and nothing else and i'm ready for it.
  • I just took the rest of the day off work.  I think it's a combination of everything.  I haven't been sleeping well with the new meds and the new glucose monitor.  I finally figured out that I was sleeping on the sensor wrong and cutting off the blood flow, so my phone alarm was going off as low blood sugar when it wasn't, multiple times a night.  Something is making my anxiety go haywire and I honestly think it's the statin, even though it's very few people it seems to have that effect on.  I'm headachy and fatigued, but I'm waking up about every 2-3 hours/night for the last 2 weeks, so IDK if it's meds or lack of sleep.  Plus work has just been busy and more work keeps getting put on us.  And the world around me, so who knows what one thing it could be.

I also can't seem to get through the work firewall to post during the day anymore.  :(  I can use my phone, but I find it so annoying.  I have an idea though, that I'll try out next week.  Work also sent me a new laptop, so I have to get that set up and I'm sure it'll be an annoying process.

Someone broke into my car in the early hours of Thursday.  They shattered the front driver's window and there was glass everywhere.  I got it fixed and the glass company thankfully vacuumed it all up for me.  Management company did have video of it, so I'll send that to the police too.  Police asked me if I would press charges.  I hesitated, but it's been my car and 3 bikes have been stolen, so obviously we're a target, so I said yes.  Thankfully I don't leave anything in my car, so I didn't have to file a claim.

So, it's been a rough few weeks.  However, Mounjaro has done something to the inside of my head.  I honestly feel like I had bees in it before, it's so quiet in my head.  I've had more energy and capacity to do fun and new things b/c I'm not always having to talk myself out of intrusive thoughts and/or routines.  That alone is amazing.
  • Yay for Friday!  Had PT today and doing well, so we are going to every other week.

I woke up to a rash? on my chin and neck.  It almost looks like hives but almost blister-like.  Debating about going to Express Care to be seen.  I wouldn't normally be concerned but there are a couple of things coming up that may be impacted.

We are going to visit DH's sister in a care center and I wouldn't want to pass anything to her.  Also, eye surgery scheduled for Tuesday and since it's on my face, I don't want to have to delay the procedure.  Uffda.

  • Good vibes to you and the job situations @levioosa and @CharmedPam! I know that kind of thing is stressful even when our world isn't upside down like it is at the moment. Healing vibes to BabyJ.

Tonight we are going to see Phantom and have dinner before hand. H and I are getting ready to go drive around another neighborhood. We've pretty much narrowed down where would go but it doesn't hurt to look at a different area. It is going to be such a difficult decision. H is not as resistant to the idea of moving as he was several years ago. I'm very conflicted. I remember how much I wanted my mom to move near us. When we finally got her to Indy it was so she could pass with me around. It was a terrible time. I think about all the things we could've done if she had agreed to move years earlier. With that , I know how DD feels. Oh well at least we are in a position now that we don't HAVE to move for health or financial reasons so we can at least make an educated decision.

Tomorrow we are taking the youngest grandson to BB practice then going to see a house. Tomorrow night we are going to dinner at an Italian restaurant that is run by a friend of the owner of our favorite place at home. We have met him previously. I hope he is there so we can say Ciao! We've been wanting to go there for a long time, but we are normally too busy when we are here for a long weekend.
  • Phantom is at the top of my faves @ILoveBeachMusic. Have fun!

And wth Friday? You took Catherine O’Hara from
    us?!?

  • @MNNEBride definitely go to an UC. If it's blisterlike you should be seen so they can rule out shingles and start treatment asap if necessary, especially if it's on the face.

    Have fun! @ILoveBeachMusic

*Hugs* @VarunaTT I'm sorry about your car. Come to think of it....ever since being on the higher doses of the GLP with the conjunction of the IUD my PMDD and monthly SI is like...gone. I'm not even taking the Chaste Tree any more.

I hope your merger continues to go smoothly @Casadena. I'm trying to do more research on the new company to see how people feel about working there. I hate to say but the last 3 jobs I've had have all been acquired. I'm tired of big business.
