Just going through the motions over here, in SSDD mode and definitely not complaining about it.
@MNNEBride how are you feeling (I know you mentioned liquids only the other day so I think you're post-surgery)..hope you're okay!
@charlotte989875 good luck to baby J tomorrow (saying today in case you're not on tomorrow)
  • @ei34 - I'm sorry your ex is such a douche.  The only effort he had to make is to show up for the show, and he couldn't even do that.  I'm so mad on behalf of your kiddos.  Kudos to you for making every effort to keep the kids in communication.

Surgery went fine and was easy and fast.  They give you a light sedation, much like a colonoscopy.  I was awake but didn't care what they were doing.  I was back in the room in 18 mins (my brother timed it!).  I have to wear an eye shield until my appointment this afternoon and then only at night for a week.  Seeing is a little challenging right now as the left eye is corrected for distance, but not totally clear yet, and I still need correction for my right eye.  My regular glasses are working ok for distance, and my computer glasses are working ok for close up.  I'll need to stop at Walgreens and try readers for the next month or so.  The right eye is on 2/20.

I'm on PTO today, but I logged in for an hour this morning to support an online event.  Brother is picking me up to take me to my PO appointment late this afternoon.  Back to work onsite tomorrow and Friday - but without eye make-up, so I'll look sick and tired lol.  We also have an on-site event on Saturday morning.

@ILoveBeachMusic, best wishes for your surgery.  Changing bedsheets that often will be a workout in itself!

@Casadena - therapy is always a good idea.  I hope it helps you and your DH move forward together.

@charlotte989875 - Hugs and best wishes for J's surgery.

  • Thanks at @MNNEBride. I hope your vision clears quickly. When my H had eye surgery it was a quick recovery, hope yours is the same.

We are staying at DD's tonight since she works tomorrow. After the nanny arrives we plan on driving to some other suburbs to check them out.

We worked out this morning. H is a much slower mover in the morning so we don't get to the Y until really late. However, truth be told, I have been moving slower since we have been here. I guess it is because we don't have much going on that is time sensitive.
  • Thinking of everyone this week. @charlotte989875 I hope everything went well with Baby J and they were able to find some answers.

    Healing vibes @MNNEBride

@ei34 I'm sorry ex-H is such a massive douchecanoe. It sounds like the kids did great at their performance!

@casadena Hugs are you guys go back to counseling.

Work is a dumpster fire right now and they are really going to lose my shit when I put in my notice this week. We had a provider either quit (or be fired, details unclear) same day this week and it has been a mess. Also means I am absolutely sure they are talking about pulling me back to that area now and no thank you. I have so much anxiety about all of these rapid changes. H also got a rejection email after one of his interviews for a job he really wanted. We weren't surprised, but it is disappointing. He's feeling really discouraged and I'm worried about him. Ugh.

    Otherwise, SSDD.
