The weekend was a really great mix of some light work but mostly fun things- in spite of temps in the negatives- and down time.

My highlights from last night were the Dunkin commercial with all the 90s stars, the delicious guacamole, the Patriots losing, and of course, all the maga-tantrums.
  • Weekend for me was pretty good. I was at my P’s/bro’s place. I tried to get the boys into the olympics and I think I did a pretty good job of it. They were as excited as I was for our golds. Poor Vaughn. She tried, but even I felt competing so soon after an injury wouldn’t end well. But I’m also no doctor (shocking I know), so if they gave her the go ahead, why not try one more time?
didn’t seethe superbowl, I don’t have that channel but they bumped a lot of my Sunday shows.  Not everyone’s into superbowl! I didn’t even have jewelry squares on it this year. Last year I won a ton of touchstone sparkle” bucks from superbowl squares but I still had to pay a lot with shipping/tax/overage so I declined this year. 4 day work week then vaca!

  • Well my highlight was Bad Bunny with a Ricky Martin and Pedro Pascal sighting! I won $100 on the first quarter squares and was asleep by the 4th quarter.

M had his last hockey practice and he had the best time!

J did good over the weekend and is back at school today!
  • We went over to DD's for the game. I liked the production of Bad Bunny's show but the songs he performed aren't my type of music - but I sure as hell wouldn't throw a fit about it! I love the Dunkin' commercial too. The boys wanted to know who all the people were so DD explained they were from Tv shows when she was a kid.

Trying to get some laundry done today. Difficult when sharing laundry facilities. I'm ready to be back in my own home and I'm ready for my surgeries. I wake up every morning hardly able to move. After I stretch/workout I'm better but still the furniture in this place is awful.

I'm on hold with Medicare at the moment trying to get my number. They approved me for Medicare but didn't include the number in the correspondence. I have to have that number in order to sign up for C & D. Ugh!

  • We watched most of the game - Yay Seahawks!  I liked the production and feel of the half-time show.  Not my music, but it was great to recognize a couple of folks.  The Dunkin' commercial was cute with all the stars.  I always love the Budweiser Clydesdales.

We had a work event Saturday morning, and I was beat when I got home about 1:30 PM.  I went back out about 4 PM to drop off leftover boxed lunches at our local Dorothy Day House.

Sunday, I was the worship leader and came home to make our Super Bowl traditional Taco Soup.  It is a delicious once-a-year treat. It's similar to the velveta, Rotel, chili dip, but a soup and served over Fritos.

About 2 am, DH called me from the living room.  He had gotten up to use the restroom, and his lift chair wouldn't work when he came back.  I looked around for a loose connection, unplugged and replugged, but the chair wouldn't lower.  We ended up getting him settled in a reclining spot at the end of the couch.  We moved all his "stuff" over.  When I went back to bed, I couldn't sleep.  Ended up with less than 3 hours and am feeling it today.  The repair guys were here this afternoon, and they think it was one of two motors.  They'll need to order one.  They did get the chair lowered so DH can use it during the day.  I did WFH today just as a safety measure.
