  It's also Friday the 13th!  And it's the day before a break (schools here are closed all next week) so the kids are extra amped over here, phew. 
  
  My school (and my kids' school) wear purple today for PS I Love You Day.  At the HS level it's suicide prevention/mental health awareness, middle school it's a lean into mental health awareness and self-acceptance, and at the elementary level it's a be kind to yourself/be kind to others day.  I'm thankful that schools acknowledge how important these things are now. 
  
  I'm still toeing the line of a full fledged cold, my throat is so scratchy and sore, it feels like there aren't enough green teas with honey but it's my current plan.  Hope everyone else is feeling okay!

  DH is working from home.  He doesn't have a fever but he slept terribly and tossed and turned all night.  
  
  I'm still managing to feel OK so hopefully if this gets to me I don' feel it until late Saturday.  I've reached the bargaining phase of illness timing!

  I'm glad it's Friday.  I need to catch up on stuff at home.  Things pile up (literally) when I'm not working from home and can get a few things done.  
  
  It's supposed to be a warm weekend here, so that will be nice.  
  
  The big news here is that Operation Metro Surge is coming to an end. It's been a long month, and I'm relieved for my neighbors who have been afraid to leave their homes.
