Wedding Woes

Wednesday? Tuesday? Who knows!

I haven’t known what day it is all morning, but I think Wednesday? Short weeks always throw me. M is back at track camp, but had to be picked up by 3:15- he was so tired yesterday he almost fell asleep on the way home.

Other than that it’s cold and raining but at least work is quiet ish with so many people out for kids winter break. How’s everyone else??

Re: Wednesday? Tuesday? Who knows!

  • I think I turned a corner? I woke up thinking I was full of ick but crashing last night in aches I think I slept off a lot of what was bothering me.  It's a fast day because it's Ash Wednesday so I'm not eating a lot but had PB on an English muffin and a clementine and my throat is feeling better.  Kids are off to school and I'm liking that it's quiet!
  • I hope everyone is feeling better! Did you get Tamiflu? @banana468. There's a 72 hour window you can start it.

Back at work today. I took off Tuesday. I'm trying to amp myself up for working 5 days a week and so far that's not going well. I love having my Mondays off. Otherwise, SSDD. It rained a bunch and there was a thunderstorm last night (unusual for us).

I have it in the house.  Chiquita started Tamiflu last week and took 3 doses before she couldn't keep it down so I have nearly the full pack.  At this point I have a scratchy throat but it's better than yesterday and I can breath through my nose so.....maybe I had flu vaccine from a different manufacturer from what my kids and DH had?   I also got my vaccine in Dec vs. when they got it so I don't know if that's different?  At this point I'm crossing fingers and just feel so bad for DH at the head he's been dealt.

Last night we ordered Chinese food and were going to Door Dash but after putting the order together and before actually pulling the trigger I saw that Door Dashing it would have been nearly twice the cost of just going down the street!   Living in the suburbs and having fewer options I'm curious if that's the experience anyone else has.
  • @banana468 I would take a full course of the Tamiflu if you're still in the window for it. Flu B has been more mild in general this year than Flu A. All of my Flu A patients are coming in looking like death warmed over. Flu B peeps are looking unhappy but alive.

We also try to avoid DoorDash because it is insanely expensive for the delivery. In our area it seems to have improved somewhat but there was a long time where it was nearly double to deliver it vs just driving to pick it up. I know restaurants always prefer a direct order too. They're not seeing any of that double price profit that Door Dash tacks on.
