Blizzard Monday

Hope everyone in the storm's path is safe and warm.
And for those not in a snow-pocalypse, hope you had restful weekends!

    Okay, I made my comment on Friday about getting to see a bit of my front lawn way too soon.  18" of snow and counting over here.  Snow day here extends February break, now we are wondering if we'll get back tomorrow.

    @MNNEBride how are you feeling?
  • Seriously praying for all of you (and you all know I’m not the praying or religious kind) because I can’t imagine winter break continuing on for even more days. Godspeed friends!

    Things are fine: Baby (well really Toddler now) J has had a rough few nights of sleep. Which means I’ve had a rough few nights of sleep.
  • Hoping all the knotties getting hit by the blizzard stay safe and warm. Weekend was good. Got everything unpacked and put away. A cleaning crew is coming today and then every two weeks while I'm recovering. Had a great workout at the Y this morning. Hopefully I'll be back at in a couple of weeks. Nothing much else going on.
  • This is so much snow.  I'm not optimistic for school tomorrow but a girl can dream.  Chiquita went out and she's nearly my height and it's up to mid thigh on her.
  • I hope everyone in the path of the storm is safe!  It went North and South of us.  We had less than 2".

    Surgery went well.  I taught Friday morning virtually and had a 1 PM report time for the procedure.  Since it was Friday, I had my follow-up appointment at 3:30 the same afternoon.  My brother drove me, which I appreciated.  We ordered pizza for supper, and I went to bed early.  I'm always wiped out after anesthesia - even the light stuff.  We had a lazy day on Saturday, and I took a long nap.  The cat was especially cuddly :smile:.  My next appointment is 3/23, and then I will get a script for new glasses.  Right now I'm doing readers, and it's on and off, on and off.

    I could drive on Sunday so after recliner church, I did a couple of errands and a grocery run.  My eyes were really feeling strained after the bright lights of Target and the grocery store.

    Callie had her annual well-kitty vet visit today.  She yowled pitifully all the way there but was good for the vet and staff.  She's overweight and needs to slim down, but otherwise healthy.  She was quiet on the way home, but when I took her out of the carrier, I found she had vomited.  Poor thing.

    DH's lift chair broke about 2 weeks ago.  We're working with the store to get it fixed, but it's been a process.  He's not able to lower the leg rest on either of our other manual recliners.  His legs are swellin,g and it's not good.  Friday, while I was in surgery, my brother made arrangements to rent a lift chair until DH's is fixed.  It's supposed to come today.  We should both sleep better when that's here.  It would be just an inconvenience, but for him, it's a medical device, and he needs it.
