Wedding Woes

Tired Tuesday

Wishing everyone a good day - hope there's no work nonsense or illnesses passing through anyone's home.

Re: Tired Tuesday

  • Tired Tuesday is right!
I booked my trip to Romania before the war started. I fear the jet fuel prices going up, as it’s saying it will soon in the news. They don’t issue flights until 90 days before departure. I’m also keeping my eye out on travel safety. I’m amazed Romania is still at a level 1 travel advisory, and it’s surrounded by level 4’s. I know two people traveling in the upcoming months at level 2 and they’re not worried.  I guess I just have to wait out the two months and hope they don’t raise ticket prices.  I’m at just under 5.5 months from departure.

Ugh, that's really frustrating @CharmedPam.  Thanks for the fake war T***p

It's spirit week at my school and today is decades day - the early 00s Juicy suits and Von Dutch hats will never not amuse/horrify me that it was long enough ago that it's been decades.  I know it's the same as me rocking 70s clothes in the 90s, but feels weird.
The snow is officially all melted here and I am here for it.  It's an abnormally light Tuesday this afternoon/evening, and I'm thrilled that once they're done with homework, my kids can just ride their bikes around the neighborhood for as long as they'd like.  We had a lot going on yesterday and I hate having to pull them inside.  But the sidewalks are free of snow and ice and it's a beautiful thing.
  • We are in the same boat flight-wise with our trip to Scotland. We can't make reservations until May. I'm afraid prices are going to be through the roof. I'm also worried about traveling to NYC next week unless the government shut-down ends. I know some airports including LaGuardia have been more nightmarish than usual. Of course, I'm flying into LaGuardia.

I got back the pathology results from my surgery. Everything was fine. I kind of figured it would be, but it is nice to have confirmation.

I've started going through winter clothes to get rid of things I didn't wear this year. My wardrobe is getting more and more casual. Unfortunately that means when I need something more dressy it is harder to pull it together. I'm trying to figure out what to wear for my cousin's visitation and funeral this weekend. It is in Tennessee but in the mountains. It is suppose to be chilly and rainy. I'm thinking dress pants, shell and blazer. I have to look at my dress situation. Most of my dresses are for hot/warm weather. I also need to address my shoe problem. I have way too many!
  • At my new job this week. Lots of training. They keep their clinic so so cold I’m literally wearing a coat all day.

My uncle flew to Georgia (the country, not the state) last week and I thought he was nuts to do that. I hope he can get home okay.

Otherwise, a week of training and then it’s officially the start next week.

  • @ILoveBeachMusic so glad you had a clear report!
    I hate cold offices @levioosa

I’m on a few Gate1 pages and people are still flying in that general area. Someone was asking about Türkiye, still wanting to know if their trip was on? That would scare me too. This is the most recent map I could find, but even this could change daily. Georgia is advisory 1 still….
