Wedding Woes

You are not in love

Dear Prudence,

I am in love with a man I can’t have. He happens to be a priest who is married to the “church.” I have been avoiding attending Sunday masses because I began going for the very wrong reasons—just to see him, hear his voice, and listen to his advice.

At the beginning of every service, he tends to look around and observe the church. I don’t want to be delusional, but when it comes to the section I’m sitting at, he always looks my way for the longest time. Whenever our eyes meet, I immediately look down because I get so nervous. Sometimes I look back up to find him still staring, and I start admiring how pretty the carpet looks. I can go weeks without attending church or even thinking of him YET I AM ALWAYS DREAMING OF HIM. I cannot love this man because it is just wrong on so many levels. What should I do?
