Another day of temps in the 30s- I am so ready for spring weather!  I'm channeling summer by piecing together our vacations, it's nice to have things to look forward to.
  • It's so cold here too! It had been in the 70s and even up to 80 over the last couple of weeks so I turned the heat off, but now it's been to freezing every night and it's even cold inside the house. I should just turn the heat back on, but it's supposed to be back to warm again by the weekend so I'll probably just complain for a couple more days.

Nothing much exciting over here. Work continues to be same old stupid BS. I'm gearing up for my next hiking trip with my sister next week, so very excited about that.
  • Have fun on your hike! @MyNameIsNot

The week feels long but it’s just a lot of getting used to new things. I hurt my own feelings yesterday when I used one of those fat detection machines (we have one at new job) and it told me my fat percentage was 10% above normal and about 15% above where I’d like it to be. Boo. So I went to the healthy grocery store nearby and meal prepped for what’s left of the week lol.

Otherwise SSDD. It’s 100 here the rest of the week and 30 above our daily average high. The “real feel” temps are even higher than 100. Ugh. Too early for this.

  • supposed to start warming up a bit here today, wishing good weather for everyone!

Having all our asbestos removed today and leave for vacation Saturday morning. I am very excited to be out of construction mess, away from work and at the pool/beach for a week.

Lol at hurt my own feelings @levioosa. Been there. Done that.
    Enjoy a constructionless atmosphere @Casadena

SSDD for me too, with nothing really going on the next few days. I have my eye exam after work. Ugh. At least it’s only once a year. Do people get eye exams yearly and do they dilate your eyes every time? Or do I just get it done every time because I’m diabetic?

  • @CharmedPam I looked up the guidelines from the American Optometry Association. Annual dilation is recommended unless otherwise contraindicated.

  • Thanks @levioosa. I didn’t even think to look it up! Lol. It actually wasn’t as bad as last time. Ugh. Had a change in prescription though. Do you know how expensive it is to replace sunglasses, car glasses, purse glasses, bedroom glasses and living room glasses? Lol

  • I turned down dilation last time but I'm going to plan a PTO day for my appointment next year.  It makes it impossible to look at a computer screen for me.

FYI - FIL had an issue with his glasses delaminating in the car and they distorted in the heat.

Hmm that’s interesting! Were they direct in the sunlight or in that glass case compartment near the roof? That’s where I keep mine and never thought to be a problem

In a case in the car.  Not sure where.  But they warped in the heat and he had to replace them. While doing that the glasses place recommended not keeping them in the car especially in summer.
