Wedding Woes

Tuesday

Wishing all a smooth day!

Re: Tuesday

  • Thunderstorm Tuesday here! I have a carwash that expires on April 4th, I leave on the 2nd and won’t be back till the 5th. it’s raining everyday till then. It’s the last time I buy a bundle of washes.
Dentist appt today, then nails after work. I kinda want to see Forbidden Fruits if I have time after that.
@charlotte989875, I hope the surgery is the answer to your problems!

Booo on the dentist @CharmedPam, good luck!
@charlotte989875 how's baby J?  Hope you're doing okay too, it's so draining when a kid is post-surgery.  I hope that his sleep begins to improve.

Busy day at work, annoying meeting afterwards, and the girls have District Choral Night this evening.  I was wide awake by 4am and am anticipating a crash later today at some point.
  • @charlotte989875 I hope baby J is feeling better already!

Work today. There’s a workout class that I might try to do afterwards. I kind of don’t want to go because it’s friggen hard. But avoiding hard workouts might be why I’m struggling to lose weight again.

    Wishing everyone a happy Tuesday!

  • Hope Baby J is doing well and surgery is helpful!

Got back Saturday from vacation - it was really really nice and the first time in awhile that I've felt genuinely disconnected from work. Making this week fairly rough, lol. G is off again on for Good Friday and i just do not understand our districts school schedule. We just had a week off, why wouldn't you roll it together and just have spring break this week? A lot of our district doesn't even celebrate Easter.

Both boys started after school activities this week so it feels extra nuts. Ice skating, hockey, karate and piano between the two of them.

I have to lead a meeting over the lunch hour that i forgot about so i'm scrambing a bit and clearly my priorities are in the right place because i'm here...

Hope everyone has a nice week

That is weird @Casadena. Do you have GF off? This is my last year having it as a holiday :( (our new company took away 3 of our holiday’s but apparently provides 3 floating holidays - and I always wanted Columbus Day and Veterans day off).
I feel like 1/2 my friends’ with kids had last week off and 1/2 of them have this week off. Which is a rip off for the
kids if it was this week. Lol

  • @Casadena is it possible the teachers celebrate?  My mom taught in a city that was hugely multicultural and often the Jewish holidays were off because of the portion of educators that would require subs due to their observance.

  • Hope J is doing well post-surgery @charlotte989875. Our school system never has GF off unless it happens to coincide with spring break. Our SB was always the last week in March or the first week in April so it did happen sometimes. The grandsons have it off. DD says it is because their area is so heavily Catholic. To be honest our schools didn't have any religious holidays off except Christmas which was winter break. Of course, students were excused if they missed school for a religious holiday, but in the years I worked in the schools it didn't happen a lot.

I have been going through my closet switching winter to spring clothes. I know the cold weather isn't over yet but am hoping that the really bad cold is gone. I wanted to get it done before next week. I'm also getting rid of clothes. I need to remember that I don't need to buy any more clothes.

I have some errands to run today, laundry and need to pack for the weekend in Chicago.
