I've been so allergic these last couple days. I have to make an ENT appt because something is going on with my left sinus. Pretty SSDD otherwise.

I fasted last night for my blood work and urine test. I woke up, and what’s the first thing I do? Empty my bladder.

I downed 5 glasses of cold water and went anyway. I even got a stomach ache from it. Of course - OF COURSE - I couldn’t urinate on the spot. I’ll have to go back to them tomorrow. Next time I’m going to tape my toilet seat shut because I always do this. I’m too tired to realize what I’m doing. It’s just habit to pee first thing when I get up!
Anyone prank anyone or get pranked on yet?

@CharmedPam - I usually have to take the urine collection container home because I have a shy bladder and cannot pee on command! Fortunately, I live about 5 mins from a lab drop point and can easily bring it back.

No pranks here, but I am seeing plenty on Facebook. Especially from our area law enforcement agencies. One deputized a local pea hen that's been running wild in town for several weeks. Another announced they were painting all the squad cars "Vikings Purple". lol

We don't have any appointments this week, which is a nice break. I'm also WFH as my next cohort doesn't start on-site until the end of next week. We are hosting my family for Easter, and I need to make a grocery list and plan my cooking so everything is done at once. The cleaning service comes tomorrow morning, so tonight will be spent picking up and putting things away.

Work continues to be crazy, with lots of pivots and changes. I've been nominated to serve on the board for a national credentialing organization in my profession, and elections opened today. It's a great opportunity.

i never thought of asking to bring one in? I always thought it ran like those drug tests, where you have to pee in-front of them. “How do we REALLY know this is yours?”. Although my testing is mainly for kidney failure so I’m only hurting myself if I bring someone else’s sample in.

I had blood work last weekend and was surprised that I had to produce a urine sample. The lab is only 10min away, and I'm big on going before I head out the door, so I didn't think I'd be able to produce anything, but thankfully my bladder pulled through.

@CharmedPam that's too funny. And as someone definitely under 5'4...honestly, with as crazy as folks have been driving lately, I might not even mind a booster seat lol

Before cars so conveniently had seats which elevate, I used to use a booster seat. Otherwise I was just staring at the dashboard.
