Took a half day at work yesterday for appointments - ENT for me (I've been having some sinus/allergy struggles), hearing specialist for DS (just his every 4-month follow up) and the car needed a visit to a mechanic (light on the dashboard went on last week - thankfully just a $30 nail-in-the-tire job).

Back to normal today and should be fairly SSDD.
  • I have exciting news!  I'm moving back into my old complex that I loved!!  Different apartment, but I'm okay with that for numerous reasons.  I'm so excited to have more space for both me and Harley.  Harley has really suffered in this studio with not being able to climb walls and run full speed around, so I'm so excited for her.  Plus the new apartment has loads of windows (unusual for our downtown lofts b/c most of them are remodeled warehouses), so she'll have plenty of sunshine to lay in.  It's going to be a PITA budget wise for a few months b/c of dealing with the remainder of the lease with the company I'm with (I don't even want to share, it's all so dumb), but I can swing it for a few months and it'll be so good for me mentally that I'm willing to handle it for 3 months.  When I can't buy a new Lego set, I'll just look around my sweet living space.

Nothing much else going on here.  Work has gotten a bit easier.  They do a survey every year.  The survey results from my cohort were DOWN and a lot of complaints about the direction upper management was taking.  I'm not sure what the long term will look like, but for now I'm not being hassled by data entry reports creating my goals.

I did see Project Hail Mary.  I had read the book first and it's fairly faithful to the book.  I thought the movie was very good; the person I went with LOVED it.  I'm giving him my copy so he can read it now.

People love that movie @VarunaTT. It just doesn’t look up my alley. Congrats on getting back to your happy place. How did you fare those winds/storms yesterday? I saw the path heading directly to St. Louis, and thought of you. We didn’t get much.

I really hope my lawn service gets done. My last guy kept pushing it out, making the grass grow longer, and when I came home Sunday, he only got to the front yard. No one has had issues getting through my gate before. I don’t lie at the width size! So I complained and a new service should be coming out today. But I never have faith in them. They rarely show when they say they will and this new person doesn’t know why it’s so long like the other guy did. It’s Lawnstarter. Not highly recommended.

  • Popping in to say hello! Was out most of last week with work travel and family visited last weekend. House is coming along and activities are slowing down. Catching up on on everyone from last week and will post double Prudie when it's time!
