  Ugh, it's hard functioning all day on so little sleep, good luck @charlotte989875.  What is the next step in baby J's diagnosis?
  
  Yesterday was really nice.  The kids made me sweet cards.  The DDs also "snuck" a baggie of strawberries into my work lunch bag, with a bday post it note telling me to enjoy my favorite snack.  They're not quite old enough to do anything bigger, but my parents came over and took us out to dinner.  We have a ton of terrific restaurants locally, and I have a long list of places my mom friends have raved about that I've never tried, bc eating out isn't something I factor into my monthly budget, so it was a lot of fun trying a Mexican place.  I chose it bc I've heard the decor and music gives it a celebratory air (and I'd peeked at the menu and knew all three kids would be able to find something tasty), and it definitely delivered.  They sang a loud round of happy birthday with maracas and drums (and me in a huge sparkling sombrero) and the kids were thrilled.  I thanked my parents profusely for their generosity, it was definitely a ball, and the perfect kickoff to 42.

  Not too much to report today. I got influenced and bought this stupid hair gimmick called The Sleepy Tie. It actually kind of worked which is impressive considering I hate curling my hair. I do call BS on it being "so comfortable" to sleep in though. Maybe it's just because I sleep like a rotisserie chicken but I definitely felt it at night and it took me until this morning to find a comfortable position so I'm a little tired. H told me to try it again tonight but I think I'll opt for a good night's sleep instead and try it another time. 
  
  One of my good friends invited me out for drinks on Saturday. I hope it works out. I haven't seen her in like almost 2 years so that would be fantastic. The only bummer is H will be dog sitting for my parents the rest of this week so I won't see him until Sunday. Oh well. Good thing we're not co-dependent lol.

  Happy hump day!  
  
  I was able to get away for a mani/pedi last night.  I love my nail person, and we are comfortable enough to chat away or not talk at all.  DH did fine at home.  His diuretics wear off in the early afternoon, so he doesn't have to make as many trips to the restroom afterward.
  
  My supervisor is now on PTO for 2 weeks, so nothing regarding my request to wfh more regularly will be discussed until after she returns.
  
  I ordered new glasses from Zenni this morning after returning the other pair.  The frames were just too dark.  I love the price, but miss trying it on in person.  I know Warby Parker will send some to you to try, and I might try them another time.
  
  The weather is gorgeous right now, so I hope to spend some time outside tonight spreading fresh mulch.  That new layer really freshens things up.  I also need to bunny-proof my back garden.  Despite a fence, they are enjoying my hosta as a salad bar!

  Work is so problematic so I haven't been on a lot.  
  
  Chiquita is in full on procrastination mode.  I talked to DH about it and turns out, she's JUST LIKE HIM.  If you need me I'll be venting and staring at the open hole in my family room ceiling he hasn't patched in 10 years.

  The cleaning out continues. I made my second trip to Goodwill this afternoon. It wasn't as big as yesterday's but it was something. H still has his bay in the garage to clear out (we got mine and the other one done). He probably won't get it done until we get a bedframe out because it is in front of everything that needs to be organized. It all looks so much better though. I got the cobwebs out of corners and off walls. H swept, blew and hosed leaves and dirt out. The next project is the unfinished basement area. That will take some time but at least it is climate controlled. We were lucky the weather has been so nice this week since we were working in non-climate controlled areas. I think tomorrow I will tackle the linen closet in our bathroom. Even if we end up staying here, it will be nice to have this all done.
