For a formal party, would you recommend a red dress or something else?

Type your messaI'm going to a friend's wedding party soon, and because of my limited budget, I plan to wear a red dress I just bought from Catchall. I don't have any other dresses for the time being.

    Does the dress fit the formality of the wedding? Is it tasteful (hemline not too short, neckline not too low)? If the answers are “Yes” to both, then you’re fine.
