More cleaning at home, plus some prep cooking for our pool parties tomorrow and Saturday. The next few days are a major heatwave for us, with highs near 100, yuck. We’re close enough to the ocean that we usually don’t even go into the 90s, so sending cooling vibes to anyone who has it worse right now!

It's so hot!  Chiquito has a field day today and I sent him with extra water.  Luckily it ends at 1.

I don't have parking passes for the beach yet and I can't say that I'm upset about it yet.  It's likely going to be mobbed this weekend.

Ugh, our heatwave ends tonight but then we get rain forever after that. It’s my last day in the office (15 years!!!) and I’m feeling the feels about that. I’ll go home around 12:30 and wfh until the switch happens. I have a flight out to Boston tomorrow morning, eeeeek wish me luck on my journey. Will I like traveling on my own? Hate it? Probably a bit of both.
In other news C found out she was booted from meetup and rejoined. Which I don’t care about, I can take her in small (very small) doses, but she sent a really unhinged text to my friend S. And S won’t even tell me what she texted because she doesn’t want to start anything. C signed up for 2 things S was signed up for. To me, that’s a clear “FU” message. Sure, she can sign up for anything she likes but most people dont rsvp yes after seeing that someone they don’t like is in the small group activity (we’re talking 4-6 people). It was so nice to post activities that I knew she couldn’t see but now it’s back to texting events.

Ugh, sorry to hear that C is causing more issues @charmedpam. Safe travels!

I hope everyone stays cool! As someone who lives in an area with regular 95-110 F days, stay hydrated, take more breaks than you think you need when doing activities outdoors (or if you are indoors without access to A/C), stay in shade/out of the sun if possible, and as long as you don't have any contraindications to electrolytes and extra fluids, stay hydrated with lots of water and Liquid IV if sweating heavily. And wear your sunscreen!  And if you don't have access to A/C look up your city's local cooling centers.

No real plans this weekend. Which I'm honestly grateful for. The past two weekends were back to back and then next weekend we are in San Diego. So a break is definitely needed. I'm ready for the day to be over! Mostly just because I'd rather be at home because work is otherwise fine. I'm going to try Pilates for the first time in 2 weeks tonight. I hope my foot does okay. I also did my first lower body workout yesterday and I'm sore but happy to be sore. I just hope my foot continues to behave. Tomorrow H and I might try to have a little date. The house is still a mess from the party so at some point I need to put everything back in its home.

I hope everyone has a great, safe and (as cool as possible) weekend!
