Wedding Woes

There's something you should know...

Dear Prudence,

My next-door neighbor has been having an affair for the last few months.  He works from home, and nearly every day, a woman shows up about 30 minutes after his wife leaves for her commute. I know they are screwing because I have a clear view of their bedroom window from mine upstairs, and they don’t bother to pull the shades down. Am I under any obligation to inform his wife of what’s been going on under her nose? My husband says we need to stay out of it.

  • I’d want to know.
It can be innocent like “Hey, Hillary, I noticed someone come to your house daily. Where did you find a maid that only works in hourly shifts? I’d like to get one for little things around my house”. You didn’t outright say anything and you innocently just thought they had a maid coming around.  A lot.

Yup.  I appreciate the 'not the circus' feeling I do.  But I also really hate the concept that when there are extramarital affairs going on everyone else is a secret keeper betraying trust.   Not to mention, there still is the risk of exposure for STDs.

I'd also share what I was observing.  Not an outright accusation, but just what I was seeing each day.
  • I think that is a great idea @CharmedPam.
