CB Photography Problems!!

I got married on September 26th and was told that it would take two months to receive the proofs on my pictures.  I waited two months and heard nothing - no courtesy call to say they were running behind, nothing.  So I gave it about two weeks after the two month date to give them some time and still nothing so I called.  I received no phone call so I e-mailed.  About a week later I received an e-mail stating that they were running behind but I was still given no date.  I gave it a little while longer and e-mailed/called again to receive another e-mail a few days later saying that they were hoping to finish their fall weddings by the end of the year.  Well guess what?  The end of the year came and still no courtesy call or e-mail so I e-mailed and called them to be told that they were finishing up the wedding before mine and they would start on my mine soon.

I called/e-mailed on Jan 24 (my 4 month anniversary) and received nothing.  It is now Feb. 8th and I have been periodically calling and e-mailing and they are blatantly ignoring me.  I had one of my friends call today and they answered on 3 rings!  So I called a half hour later and nothing.  They are a husband and wife team so there's no "manager" I can go to!  At the wedding a comment was made to one of my friends that they're glad I'm a "nice bride".  So is that why I'm being ignored?  Because I'm nice and they're dealing with other angry brides?

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get through to them when they are avoiding my phone calls and e-mails?  Besides taking a 4 hour road trip to confront them, I don't know what to do.

If anyone is about to use them, good luck!!  I'd get my money back and run away as quickly as possible!!

Try contacting the Better Business Bureau.  Also, I would take then to small claims court.  Something similar happened to a close friend of mine and she had to take the guy to court.  Sooo sorry that you're going through this.  Good Luck.

Allright, I'm going to suggest something a little more interesting, though you must be prepared for confrontation, not an argument, merely a moment of discomfort whereby you can demand your digital images, all of them.

Okay, as a wedding photographer myself, I remember for my wedding it taking roughly 45-60 days to get the images, I turn over my work to clients in less than 4 weeks...but I would encourage you to do any communication through an attorney at this point. Really what needs to be done is get a response right? Short of a date for the pictures, I would insist, again through an attorney, that they hand over the digtial images as is, and 1/2 the wedding fee.

Attorneys don't have to be a huge expense in this situation. Though a certified letter from a law office WILL get their attention. I'm sure.

    sorry for this trouble
