What planning do you have to do this week? Anything you've been neglecting?

I have to contact the Etsy seller and get the logistics of the guest book in order.

I'm planning to meet with the officiant this week to work out the ceremony order and email the event planner afterward.

Finishing up the ceremony programs.

I really want to avoid looking into the newspaper announcements since we don't have any pictures I really like...I should have had it figured out by now, but it just wasn't happening.

Oh boy...I have been neglecting all kinds of things! This week I need to get earring and bracelet for myself, finish up getting the invitations ready(I will be sending them out on April 1), and I have decided I now I want to get engagement pictures done so I will be talking FI into that and trying to set something up with a photographer friend.

I have my first dress fitting on Thursday and I don't have my shoes yet. I know exactly what I want, I just can't seem to find them. I also need to start planning the ceremony. The church has really been dropping the ball on communication; I can't seem to get a phone call back, or an email.

-We need to meet with the florist this week... I have been putting it off because I am embarassed that I keep changing my mind on flowers.... blah.

-We are hoping going to have the invites in hand by Friday so we can assemble everything over the weekend.

-We are making a trip to LaCrosse to pick up our rings and get all of the supplies for the invites, centerpieces and fans.

- Dress fitting tonight
- Call caterer/reception venue with questions regarding contract to turn in by April 1
- Count centerpieces to make sure we have enough, make more if needed
- Clean, condense and pack my room
- Correct wedding invitation addresses as needed and mail them!
- Who knows what else

- Call the cake place and schedule a time to come in and go over everything

- Figure out transportation situation

- Email caterer to set up a time to come in and finalize the menu and cost

- Take a day off to do a serious spring cleaning

- Get wedding stuff organized and put away

- Finish invitation and get them all printed

- Go over to-do list and see everything that needs to be finished and make a timeline to get it all done

-Finish spray painting frames, baskets, petals. Supposed to be great weather this week so shouldn't be a problem.
-Buy a shirt & shoes to go with my skirt for our Jack & Jill on Saturday.
-Finish attaching ribbon to candy buffet jars.
-Order WP & parents gifts.
-Work on programs

WR: I need to contact the calligrapher and get her the envelopes this weekend.

I need to get FIs butt in gear and get the tuxes picked out.

I need to get the rest of the buckets for the wedding to hold the "tears of joy" packets and the flip flops for the reception.

I need to decide on and possibly order the guest book/alternative guest book this week.

I need to stalk my bank account to see when the help department cashes my check so I know my birth certificate is on the way.

NWR: I really need to focus on some science. My boss had like a 20 minute talk with me Friday morning about new ideas and I haven't looked up a single one of them.

-send MOH and friend addresses for showers and bachelorette party
-figure out if I want to have cake or cookies for RD (leaning towards cake) and set up those appointments

NWR:
-Pack for Costa Rica (we live Saturday) for a friend's wedding. Can't wait. FI and I really need a vacation!
-Clean the house for the dog sitter

--Figure out who I need to inform at work that I will not longer be working next year (I don't really have a boss/supervisor...so we will see what I figure out!)

I haven't so much been neglecting things, I just don't seem to have enough time in a week! Arg..

This on the plate for this week:
- Shopping for dresses with mom, FMIL and grandmother on Sat
- Grandmother is coming to stay with FI and I for 2 weeks, she will be making all the BM dresses - 1 down - 5 to go, but it takes her about a day to do one. She will also be making 2 ring pillows, we will be looking for fabric / lace for my veil, and she will also be making shawls for my BM as the priest has requested shoulder's covered.
- I have completed 100 of 150 invites, need to finishing cutting the inserts for the rest tonight, and than will hopefully be assembling the remaining pocketfolds this week. We are hoping to send out by April 15. FI cousin is getting married 3 weeks before us, so we are waiting until we receive her invite before we send ours.

Things to get moving on...
- I am beginning to freak, as my dress is still not in! It's been 6 months now, I am dying to try it on and get it to my grandmother for alterations.
- Sit down with our priest to hash our ceremony! So I can make programs!
- Meet with florist, decorator, DJ around details!

AH so much to do! It's been difficult as we have so many weddings this year with friends and family, every weekend there is either a wedding, shower or bachelorette/ bachelor / stag parties. Also birthdays and my grandparents 55th wedding anniversary party my mom and I are planning for them in May...

-pretty much everything to do with our ceremony. Still don't have an officiant. FI hasn't picked his reading yet. We need to figure out if we want to do a hand fasting or other type of ceremony.

-Decide on any other DIY projects I want to do: card box, escort card display

-Buy candles for the center pieces

-I really need to get a new quote from my florist to decide if we can afford the new center pieces I want

NWR

-I need to buy my sister a birthday gift. Her birthday was last Friday and I had contacted an Etsy seller awhile ago about getting something custom and she never got back to me. So now I'm back at square 1.

-We need to decide on our travel for a wedding we are invited to in September.

I really need to get onto flowers with our WC......we know roughly what we want, but need to get a solid quote together so I can feel better about it.

We also need to discuss alcohol with our venue.....we are trying to figure out how to limit it without looking cheap. Might see if the venue can bring in some cheaper options of wine.

And then I need to get our menus formatted and printed and I am trying to find artifical starfish that I can stick on the front of them....they are harder to find than you'd think though!!

Also waiting for our fans to arrive in the mail this week and then I need to get onto decorating those!

This week I need to contact our florist and make an appointment to come in and finalize everything. I also need to figure out where I'm going to go for hair and makeup, which is the main thing I've been neglecting. Also, I am working on narrowing down the choices for readings, and for our vows.

Finally have a few days off from work so I'm hoping to get a lot accomplished!

- cut inserts for invitations and assemble
- call post office about hand cancelling
- call obligatory wedding coordinator at church and inform her of our plans
- call reception venue to schedule meeting to go over menu
- pick out dress for first shower
- clean out closets
- get tires replaced on car

-Complete corsages, bouts, and my bouquet
-Head to the store to pick up a sample vase for the centerpiece for a mock-up
-Find pretty wrapping paper and ribbon as I will attempt to make the card box!

I've been slacking on talking to my uncle about the cake. I don't know why, he's my uncle and is a great guy but I just keep slacking on it.

I plan to survive this week teaching elementary school and navigating New York. Homework catch up this coming weekend, and then we'll take stock of where we are in terms of wedding items! Invitations are definitely next, though!

I'm on Spring Break this week so my biggest thing is cleaning/organizing the house. FI keeps telling me he can't move in in June if there isn't room for him!
