makeup artist

Does anyone have any recs for makeup artists in the area? I am having the stylist who usually cuts my hair style it for the wedding but I am still looking for a makeup artist (and I hear they book up fast!)

Is an artist really necessary?

I wear makeup everyday but nothing too dramatic or flashy. I definitely want to keep it looking soft and natural for the wedding. Any thoughts?

    I'm using Allison Feamster, I got her from other brides raving about her on these boards.
     I usually do my own make-up too, usually simple and natural also. I am using one because I know I'm going to be a hot mess that morning and I'd rather have everyone else do the work and do it right than worry about if my make-up looks its best or not. Plus, these to me are some of the most important pictures I'll ever have taken of myself and I want to look my best. But everyone is different and I know a lot people do do their own.

    I also used Allison Feamster.  I normally don't wear much and keep it natural looking but I wanted to bump it up a bit for the wedding.  I also really wanted air brush.  It was great and she was still able to give me a natural look.

    I used Alison Feamster - she is amazing! I don't normally wear a lot of makeup and she did a great job making my makeup look very natural. I did the airbrush foundation which I loved!

    i am considering going to a mac counter and seeing if I can go there the day of or have a few of them come to me. I just cannot justify spending 150 dollars on make up for 1 days.

    That's so funny!  I agree that the airbrush was great!  I hate to wear anything too heavy and this really did the trick.

    MakeupGalorebyJodi does a great job and offers airbrush. Her price is around $50-$75 for normal to airbruch.
