    The Pride & Prejudice BBC Miniseries. I've seen it, but Jay hasn't--he's a huge fan of the Keira Knightley version for some odd reason, though). We're hoping to get it in time to watch it on the plane ride to Hawaii

Hmmm...that would probably be the pyrex dishes.  I registered for a few and got a ton...and most of it is up in our garage because I have no place to put it and really nothing to use it for yet.  Or maybe my crockpot.  I really thought I'd be using that more often.  I use it some and I'm starting to use it more...but for a long time it was just gathering dust.

    What will (or was) NOT be on your registry? don't know...we registered for a lot of stuff we needed or needed to replace.  We didn't register for games and stuff or a big screen TV. 

    What unique item did you register for?  Nothing really unique...Steve wanted beer mugs, so we registered for those :)

    Well, I guess the Dyson.  We haven't used it quite as much as I thought we would.  Having Merry Maids means that we aren't using it very often. 


    We use the Cuisinart Griddler quite a bit and love it!  That and the waffle maker.  I laughed when we made waffles for his parents when they came at Thanksgiving. 


    We didn't really register for anything unusual but I will say that Bill's family swears by a rice cooker.  My family just cooks it on the stove top.  We used it once and the rice came out all mushy.  We haven't used it again and I think it was a huge waste.

    Silverware.  We already have a complete set of stainless steel-ware, and I'm not feeling the urge to upgrade.

    We registered for a bunch of camping gear.

    *KitchenAid mixer- we love it and have only used it once because of the lack of space.  Majority of our gifts are not being used because of the same reason and is being kept in the middle room.

    What item has been a surprise in  how much you like it?
    *Nothing was really that miuch of a surprise .  The Dyson was nice in that it got DH to vacuum.

    What will (or was) NOT be on your registry?
    *China of any kind (no plates, bowls, etc.) and silverware.  We have enough!

    What unique item did you register for?
    *Nothing was really unique, just the normal stuff.

    What item were you excited about that you ended up not really using?
    A vaccum that was supposed to be really good for pet hair.  We ended up returning it.

    What item has been a surprise in how much you like it?
    We registered for a couple's massage on our honeymoon registry.  I'm weird about massages but I never wanted that one to end.

    What will (or was) NOT be on your registry?
    Towels.  I can't think of anything more boring.

    What unique item did you register for?
    Hmmm, gold chargers maybe?  I love them.

    What item were you excited about that you ended up not really using?
    The crockpot.  I haven't found any recipes I like yet (but I haven't really looked either), so we haven't used it once. 

    What item has been a surprise in how much you like it?
    Probably either our Calphalon Grill that we use for burgers and paninis, or our stick blender that we used to make a knock-off McFlurry. 

    What was NOT on your registry?
    There wasn't really anything we were adament about not putting, but pretty much everything was kitchen-related.  We didn't have any picture frames or things like that since we didn't have a house at the time and we weren't sure what the style would be like.

    What unique item did you register for?
    Nothing, we had really traditional stuff.

    Kris, I actually have that trimmer!  We got it 50% off because it was missing 2 attachments.  Yeah, I cut my husband's hair, although not very well.  Laughing

    I'm still early in the planning process, so we havent recieved any gifts yet, but one of the first things we did was register!

    What will (or was) NOT be on your registry?
    Fine China, My mother never used hers, and I dont see myself using it.

    What unique item did you register for?
    A bike, and a Wii

    I wish I had that bike right now! LOL

    Have any of you ever bought yourself something off of your registry (before the showers and wedding), because you decided you wanted it NOW?

    Steph, my favorite crock pot recipe is a pack of chicken and a bottle of BBQ sauce.  Cook on low all day and serve over rice or noodles.  Super easy!

    We haven't registered yet but won't be registering for fine china.  We do plan to register for some boring everyday dishes and fun stuff like towels.  Since we both own(ed) our own homes, we have a ton of stuff but want to upgrade certain things or have matching sets (like towels). 

    I am most excited about registering for a new grill and a springform pan so I can make cheesecakes.  :)

    Since we have accumulated a lot of stuff/things during the course of our marriage, we are not doing a traditional registry.     If any guest insist on giving us a gift, they have the option of making a donation to one of our favorite charities or buying a wish on our honeymoon registry.
