1. Tell us about you and FI (and any fur babies or real babies) (Names, ages, what you do for a living, anything you would like to share) I am Mandi 30 yrs old, FI is Chad 28 yrs old. This will be my 2nd wedding his first. We have a LO that is 10 months old and AWESOME! He is a wieder and I work in the medical field in management.

We have known each other for a long time, have a lot of friends in common. I had always thought he was cute but we were never single at the same time. He had an extra ticket to a bengals game and asked me to go. We have been dating ever sence! He asked me to Marry him on Christmas day 2011. He had our son and said hey "Mommy, Daddy wants to know if you will Marry him?" It was corney but cute! haha
6. What do you have planned so far? We have our wedding party picked, place to get married, reception, and our colors that is about it!

My name is Marisa (26) and his name is Paul (31). We work in NYC, but we're getting married in my home state MD. We have two kitties: Amber & Obie. Amber is exactly as old as our relationship (we got her six months in when she was 6 mos!). Amber just turned six.

We met on a political campaign and it was an instant connection. He asked me to marry him on our six-year anniversary in Madison Square Park. We had a fabulous dinner & show planned so all in all it was a wonderful evening.
6. What do you have planned so far? Nothing really! You all are making me feel like a slacker - haha. I have a pretty firm guest list of 60-75.
7. How are you personalizing your wedding? We'll probably have a chess-themed cake since my fiance is a ranked chess player (lawyer by day). My engagement ring is a 1930s diamond ring, so I'd like there to be vintage elements.

I was very close friends with his 2 older sisters and his oldest sister got married on January 1, 2011. I attended the wedding with my boyfriend (at the time). I had never met my FI before the wedding and his sisters and mom had tried hooking us up multiple times. His sisters introduced us and we talked for a few minutes at the wedding and after that I knew I needed to talk to him again. Things were rocky with my boyfriend before the wedding and after that I broke it off with him. My FI and I began talking and hanging out and instantly became very close. We moved in together after only 8 months and on May19, 2012 he proposed to me on a bridge overtop a river that ran through a nature preserve (We live in a large farm area, so a nature preserve was about as romantic as he could find). We planned on taking a motorcycle trip for the day and he decided he wanted to stop at this nature preserve to look around which was completely out of the way where we were headed for the day, he dropped down on on one knee and asked him to marry me. I am beyond in love with this man and cannot wait to marry him! (Sorry for the lengthy answer)
6. What do you have planned so far?
Reception venue, bridal party picked and asked, colors, bakery for our cake, my dress ordered, bridesmaids dresses picked out, caterer booked and photographer booked.
7. How are you personalizing your wedding?
We are very laid back fun people. We do not like the typical wedding food (around our area everyone has chicken, mashed potatoes, noodles), we decided to go with a BBQ, pulled pork, shredded chicken, corn pudding, etc. from the local City BBQ.

We met in September of 2005, but just remained friends. July of 2006 I saw him at a mutual friends, went the following week, July 4, 2006 to his house for a cookout and that was it. We are young so 1 year into our relationship, July 4, 2007, he proposed at the restaurant where we had our first date. Yesterday just celebrated 6 years together.

Right now we have some Greek elements to represent his side and we are using my grandparents cake topper, they celebreate 50 years this year.

We went to highschool together but we really connected after he joined the military, he got stationed it virginia and after months of a long distance relationship and several expensive trips down, we decided that it was time for me to move down. He had asked me on the phone the day before I moved down but I thought he wasn't serious so I brushed it off. lol He asked me if I wanted a tour of his base a week after I moved down and I said yes. We walked like 5 miles on the beach on base and then he turned around and got on one knee. I burst out laughing (nervousness) and said yes.
What do you have planned so far?
Since the wedding in in RI and im in Virginia I've really been on top of everything. I have the venue, photographer, florist, Dj and photobooth.
How are you personalizing your wedding?
I did my own invites (designed, cut and all), im doing my own centerpieces, linens, boutonierres (nautical knot with US Navy bottton on for groomsmen), and im buying the decor- I pretty much have everything drawn out of how I want it set up

His sister has been my best from for about 15 years and he used to pick us up from high school every Friday. I had the biggest crush on him forever! Fast forward several years. I was housesitting for a month for a huge manson and my best friend and I decided to throw a Sean a 25th birthday party. It because way larger then we expected and about 150 people and a day later he stayed to help clean up and get hangover chinese food and we have been stuck at the hip ever since. He proposed 3/3/12 with a stunning princess cut solitare and a beautiful speech and we cried for about 20 minutes. I am so lucky to have him in my life.

We've known each other for years and hung out in the same social circles but I was always with someone else. When I was finally single and needed some home repairs I thought of him cause he's so handy. He came to help me last November and we began to finally talk outside of the group and started dating. We became officially exclusive in December 2011. He went to the UK for Xmas while I went to Greece to visit a friend. When we came back after New Years we'd missed each other so much we didn't spend another day apart. He proposed on May 17 after 5 months together. We both want kids.

My character had me running around in my underwear the whole time, so I like to say we met while I was in my underwear. The funny part is that we didn't even give eachother a second glance until after the show was over! We dated for a fast and furious two weeks before he moved 3.5 hours away, and then we casually long-distanced it for a few months, and moved to Chicago together! 3 years in, he proposed at my favorite place in the whole world - on the cliff at my grandfather's cottage in Canada overlooking Lake Huron at sunset.
6. What do you have planned so far?We just booked the venue (ceremony and reception), and we have the guest list pretty well set. We're about to sign with our photographer, and I've just been looking into other things and getting ideas about what I like. I have a very clear vision. Oh, and I found the flower girl dress! Wasn't even looking, but it's just PERFECT.
7. How are you personalizing your wedding?Since we're not religious, we're designing the whole ceremony, so it will be full of readings and stories that are meaningful to us. We'll also be doing a handfasting during the ceremony. I have a cute idea for DIYing the centerpieces (or at least part of them), and I may wind up designing and printing the invites. I may have them outsourced, but I'll do all of the other paper products (escort cards, table numbers, programs, etc). We really want the whole day to be "us". ETA: I forgot! We're doing Key Lime Pie instead of cake...because that's what we like!

I am Diana. 31,.. I have a 13 year old son names Andrew and a beagle who is about 11. My FI is Aaron, he actually turns 32 on Sunday - he works in a kitchen, and right now I am working in the produce dept of a local grocery store and at an arena at night. I am searching for a surgical tech job though as I graduated and got certified in Dec '11... not been the easiest job hunt

I actually met Aaron on my 25th b-day when the guy i was dating at the time brought him out to hang out for a night of drinking... eventually he became my ex's room mate. At the time we were just friends and although I was dating his room mate always kinda had a thing for him. Ex's and mine relationship fizzled after about a year and due to some crazy circumstances Aaron had to move about an hour and a half away... we kept in touch even while I was in a LONG distance 3 yearish relationship. FI still lives an hour and a half away now but we are working on getting that fixed here soon.... in any case - while the 3 yr relationship was falling apart and I was devastated Aaron was there - literally dragging me out of the house when I just wanted to stay in bed and cry all day made me go out and see that life still existed without the guy I was crying over - we unoffically dated a year before we really became a couple - the whole time I knew he had feelings for me but I really just needed to be single and do the me thing before I got into another relationship. Over time I fell in love. It wasn't until the day his mom passed away though that I realized I couldn't imagine not having him in my life and that I wanted things to be more than friends... so in a weird twist of fate I guess our dating anniversary is also the anniversary of his mother's death.
I never thought I would actually get married. I love Aaron and want to spend the rest of my life with him but I never thought we would really get married. I wanted to , just never thought it would happen. Last summer when a group of friends went to the NKOTBSB concert ( all girls that I met through him since he went to high school with them ) his friends started with the"when was he going to wise upp and put a ring on my finger " I actually had nothing to do with the whole conversation but he told me when we came home he fully intended to propose just had to get some things in order ... FF ( yeah i know I am very long winded - sorry ) well xmas came and went, my college graduation came and went, so did valentine's and my bday - and then our "official 2 yr anniversary" all came and went with no ring...
we go to a music festival every year (2xs a year if we can ) called shakori hills. it is actually where i realized i loved aaron - long before we were dating - where he first told me he loved me and 6 months later where i first told him i loved him ... we camp out all weekend - even take my son and have a great time with the music and the people. I went in April of this year thinking maybe we would get engaged but by the time friday night ended and there was no ring i thought maybe it would happen in October.
Saturday night while watching Donna the Buffalo on the main stage we were called on stage saying we won tickets to a sister festival in FL. Actually Aaron got down on one knew and proposed in front of TONS of people with the band that plays our song - on stage with us - it was amazing and more than i ever hoped for. he had asked my dad's permission months before hand and had been working it out with the band through email since about thanksgiving. you can't hear what he says but you can see it if you search on you tube for "shakori proposal"... 6. What do you have planned so far? My date is set, the deposit is down for my venue ( ceremony and reception in a local hotel) that is all I have set in stone so far

How are you personalizing your wedding? i wanted a red wedding dress - not going to happen - but we will have glow sticks, and our favors are going to be cds with songs that fit our relationship and my nephew will be playing his sax at the ceremony - he wants to play here comes the bride so bad at the wedding... my son will be in the wedding and we will have a sand ceremony - and oh yeah a tie-dye cake -
