I loved my extra hour of sleep, especially since I'm working this weekend.  I am, however, already sitting in front of my light box for light therapy.  I go WAY DOWN in the pitts when the daylight time shortens so last year I started light therapy.  It helped tremendously.

I remembered to set one clock back before I went to bed! Hopefully I'll be productive today!

    mmm light therapy: approved !!

And it's already been getting dark at 530.. lol.. H hates Washington during the winter for how little daylight we get during this time... I just tell him at least we're not in Alaska! (which I actually think is awesome.. him not so much.. hah)

I do NOT miss WA winters.  I've never been so depressed in my life.  It's been getting darker.  Normally when I close on Fridays it was still light, and I just noticed last night that it was like 6, but I felt like I should be getting ready for bed! I'm glad that even though I reminded myself like 48 times, I woke up and freaked out because I changed all the clocks except the one beside my bed. Ugh..

True Story.. I remembered that... and in my head I was thinking.. Oh it is 9am.. it REALLY is 8am I have an extra hour.

Nope, my computer/cell phone is smart enough to change itself.

Thanks Sami!  I loved the extra hour of sleep.

I used to live in IN years ago and part of the state did daylight savings time and part didn't.  The part I lived in didn't so 1/2 the year I was on east coast time and 1/2 I was on central time.  Talk about confusing!  I worked for a college there and traveled into OH so I would have two meetings at 10:00.  One on east coast time and one on central time.  They have since done away with that only after it was voted on and a really big fight about it.  HA

Obviously we still get sunshine here, but it is dark driving home from work, so that kinda sucks.  I'm a big fan of multi-spectrum lights on desks and in the home to prevent SAD - I get that really bad in colder climates.  Birth control makes it wayyyyyy worse.

In good news, I'm getting up earlier because of this. In bad news, can it please rain or get cloudy or even a little cold or something that indicates to me that it is no longer summer? It's seriously 75 degrees and warmer in the sun. It's too warm to leave the sliding door open to cool the house. I have the fans on full-blast. My Mom told me they had 7 inches of snow in SLC yesterday and I almost cried. I miss it (and I only lived there 9 months, but I think they're even getting at least "fall" weather in MS). I miss cold with no humidity so you can walk out into the snow in a t-shirt. Heck, I miss being able to wear cute winter clothes out at night. I miss it being cold enough that cooking soup or stew didn't heat the whole house to unbearable. I want my winter, grrrrr.

The time change is such great motivation for me to get my booty in gear for run after work. I get home around 4pm, so there is no time for lounging around and putting it off until 5. If I wanna run while there is still light I gotta do it right when I get home!
