Anyone wathcing LIFE??

I love the Planet Earth series... This is suppose to be like that but it's kind of off.

Maybe it's because I prefer Sigorney Weaver's narrative voice better?  Or maybe it's going to fast...

I don't know... anyone else watching and think the same thing??

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

  • I've really wanted to watch it also.. .I think they are moving from one topic to another too quickly for me.  I love the cinematography though..

Yeah, FI has been the same way. He forgot it premiered tonight and literally did what resembled an odd mix between a cheerleading routine and a short ballet dance across the livingroom making jubilous sounds when he remembered. I almost did a duck and cover. I had no idea what was going on for a moment.

  • Honestly, I like Planet Earth a bit better, though the shots with the chameleon were really sweet earlier.

agree that was really cool.   I think I like how more in depth Planet Earth was.

Yeah, it's being shown on several channels at once.

N is watching, but I am not paying much attention.

Yeah, I think that's a huge part of it. Also, Opera as narrator is somewhat .. ehh.. kinda takes the magic out of it.

that made me laugh out loud.

My verdict is... the cimenatoghy is great, Oprah as the narrator not so much... Or maybe not really her voice, but the copy she is reading.   So maybe I'm should be blaming the writters.

  • I love the dolphins and the caymen's approach to food. I'll just sit here with my mouth open and wait for dinner to jump in.

I liked that also.. Very efficient.   So far I LOVE the chameleons... It's fun to watch them get their prey.
